If y'all will allow me; that Frankie Sprinkles is kinda OK, One might want to hit that. Or not. It's your life, make your own choices.

Speaking of names: "Anti-Session" is a great name for a TIPA. Well done, Dru Bru beer-naming people.

One of the cellarmen, Eddie, was expecting his second child recently. When they asked their 3 year old what the baby should be named, he said Frankie Sprinkles. Eddie left a few weeks ago to be a stay at home dad, and, as a good-bye gift, they named this beer after his boys. BTW, they did not name the new kid Frankie Sprinkles.

Did Urban Family happen to get the People's Choice? If it's anything like last year, the best of the hazy offerings were shut out by the judges but one won the People's Choice.

MODS! I understand if you delete this.

I tried to get a TIPA ready for Hop Mob but as the biggest beer I have brewed on this new system of ours I wasn't sure it would be ready until....it was ready. And good! We have The Truth TIPA at 10% ABV and 100 IBU.

Feeling like next year will be our year for competitions and festivals etc.

The Brouwer's Hop Mob event seemed a little more subdued than the previous two years- at least late in the evening. Had a fun time with the 8 oz. pours. Not feeling too fuzzy today. I love this time of year!!

I stopped by Brouwers this afternoon, and had the following:
    -Aslan Megathrust
    -Bale Breaker Mt. St. Humulus
    -Boundary Bay Frankie Sprinkles
    -Georgetown Harkin Banks
    -Melvingham 4x8
    -Reuben’s Blimey
    -Reuben’s Triple Crush

I always like Mt. St. Humulus, it’s like drinking hop nectar in a good way. The line between American Barleywine and Triple IPA is blurry, but the Frankie Sprinkles came off as a barleywine to me. Still delicious, just a lot of malt sweetness. 4x8 was tasty, and somehow less boozy than 2x4. Between the two hazies I had, I preferred Triple Crush to Megathrust.

Yesterday I went up for the roadshow in Vancouver. Of the 11 they had on Reuben's Triple Crush and Urban Family's Star Death were by far my two favorites. Frankie Sprinkles was very barleywine like. I was a little disappointed they didn't get either Cloudburst or Stoup's, but overall none were bad.

I was outta town during most of the events/tappings... are there any hazy IIIPAs left on tap anywhere? Star Death anywhere? Reuben's still have Triple Crush on? Any of the other well received ones anywhere?

Any idea what sort of distribution the Triple Crush sees? Is it only available at the brewery, or has it been showing up around town as well?
