None because the majority taste like crap. Like I said drink what taste good. So happens majority of new “clear” ipas taste like garbage.
If you need a “clear ipa” As others have said stick to the classic west coast ipas that have been around since before ipas had to be differentiated..

I think haze really helps the hype factor. I think part of the reason is that it photographs so well. Not all hazy beers are great, but they still remind you of the ones that are. They are distinctive.

It would be extremely difficult to make a very clear IPA that gets national hype in this current market.

As already mentioned the IPAs brewed at Half Acre would mostly fit this criteria. They are clear, tropical and a few are low in bitterness. I used to go ape shit over dirtwolf when Victory did monthly drops for the first year than they decided to flood it and I haven't found it fresh since that time. Russian River Elder is bright and I would imagine younger is also.. not really distributed but the hype is there. That is a fine line to walk, between hype and shelf. The Fat heads imperial Hop JuJu and head Hunter are also bright and sought after so they would fit in but they are traditionally bitter.

I recently had Multiflora by Decadent Ales, it's a clear Mosaic dipa and it was one of the best hoppy beers I've ever had, reminded me of Surly Abrasive.

Seems like in my area if an IPA is brewed hazy and juicy it gets the hype. For instance Noble Ale works. When they brew a NEIPA they are sold out in minutes via online sales. When they brew clear WC IPAs you can pick them up at the brewery for days after the release.

With a few exception breweries, the level of hyped releases seems to be lower than other regions. These may not be “hyped” but I think what you’re looking for:

Any of the clear IPAs from Breakside, pFriem, Reuben’s, Fremont, or Georgetown.
    Sunriver Rippin’ and Vicious Mosquito
    Silver Moon IPA 97
    Worthy Strata IPA

I've heard good things about Melvin IPAs but haven't tried yet. Hop Bullet was decent and a good change of pace from juicy IPAs.

I don't think Pale Ales qualify as a low bitter beer.

I thought Hop Bullet was fantastic, but nothing from SN will likely ever get any hype from the folks who chase the haze.

They can keep chasing and I'll keep loving my boring old IPAs from SN and Bells.

Let us at all costs not refer to IPAs as clear IPAs. It'll stick. You know it will.

Excited to see what you make. Will this one make it to cans or will it be draft only? Cheers and good luck with your new creation.

No lines but some of my local breweries' new ipa releases have been bomb. Snag and Drop Triple IPA from Cape May Brewing and Hidden Sands Brewings' 807' DIPA come to mind!

I thought Rupture by Odells was pretty damned good, and it looks like others did also. As far as the bitterness goes on it, I didn't think it was too bitter, but was definitely not low bitter. I am of the crowd that likes a little bitterness, something that tells me that sip is over and I need to go back for more.

How can you get Instagram hype if the beer is clear?

It seems to me that all of the new IPAs that get a lot of attention in my area are Cloudy IPAs. I can't think of any new clear IPAs that get much love.

On a related note I was doing errands in the area of my local homebrew shop yesterday and stopped in to buy some malt. I got in a conversation with an employee there and I asked: "What type of beers do folks come in and ask your help to brew?" He quickly responded: "New England IPAs".

Perhaps in another year or two or three the level of enthusiasm will diminish for Cloudy IPAs but right now they are the 'hot' beers in my area (SEPA).

    Cheers!

Given the OP's location (AZ, right?) I would recommend hitting Melvin's Hubert pale ale if you haven't tried it. If you have, why not try Bosque IPA (like a smaller, clearer, version of Cumbre). I've been turning to the Bosque quite a bit lately. Good luck. I don't care about hype but totally dig the clear, west coast IPAs.
(And yeah... still miss Half Acre).

I was just at my LHBS and they were stalking to cooler with London 3 and the Vermont from imperial yeast. He said now everyone can make their hazy ipas. The shop carries only white labs other than those two specific strains because so many people are asking for it.

Have you used this yeast? Did it produce a turbid/murky/opaque beer for you?

FWIW I used Imperial Yeast Dry Hop (A24), which is a blend of Conan and Saach Trois, to brew my version of an Alchemist Focal Banger IPA and that beer came out clear. I should note that I only used barley malt to brew this beer (i.e., no wheat malt or flaked stuff).

There is a photo of that beer here:

Flocculation characteristics is an area that still needs to be studied in greater detail. I have found that with yeast blends, the flocculation typically behaves more like the more flocculant strain. Especially in Brett beers, anything that I add Brett Clausenii to falls crystal clear in a hurry. Of course, your process, terminal gravity, and other ingredients will play a big role as well
