A perfectly made pilsner is less enjoyable than a good-but-not-great IPA.

    I miss bitter IPAs.

Dank flavors can ruin a beer for me. I don't want it to taste like I'm chewing on pot smoke. I've been to enough concerts, thanks.

Stouts are not a Winter beer. There is no day too hot or bright that would preclude popping open a stout.

That's great, do you review wines too?

Oh, and I also agree with this general statement. I think there's excellent American brewed Belgian examples, and while they're close, if I really crave a Belgian style, I'll grab a Belgian brewed beer. Allagash White may be the exception.

And I'm sure this is true of many styles. I bet the best New England/West Coast style IPAs are brewed in the US.

Here's something that shouldn't be controversial but apparently is.

Drink whatever the hell you want! Even more, do whatever the hell you want with your beer.

Only like IPA's? Great! Drink the hell out of them if it makes you happy. Someone might call you a newbie or sheep or some dildo-riffic term like that, but who cares.

Think barrel aged stouts loaded with adjuncts are the only beers worth drinking or buying? Buy away!

Only drink the newest and trendiest NEIPA's that aren't good unless you spent 13 hours standing in line and spent $28 on a four pack? More power to you.

Want to age your imperial stout, or better yet IPA's for 15 years or just put your rarest beers on a shelf and stare at them every night before you go bed and never, ever consider drinking them? Whatever floats your boat.

Prefer to drink macros 95% of the time? If you feel like it. Beer enema? Yikes!

Personally I don't do or think any of those things, but I don't think it makes you smarter or a better advocate than anyone else if you do or don't. Different strokes for different folks.

    That day is here: https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/18006/91426/

Sixpoint's The Crisp was close to 4.0 for me as well.

If you include imperial pilsners in that statement, Boulevard's Nobel Prize really impressed me. So much so that it's my go-to purchase from Boulevard's Smokestack series at this point.

I once was given a corona, i drank sun warmed water from the hose instead. The only fruit in beer belongs in Belgians and such. No spices, vanilla etc, ugg.

Why on earth wouldn't I bring the kid to a brewery? Especially now that most serve awesome pizza/sandwich/mac&cheese kid friendly food. How is it any different than bringing a kid to a restaurant that serves beer?

Don't like flavorings in beer. Won't drink a beer with them.

Won't drink an AAL. Not even if it's free. Not even if it's "impolite" to refuse one.

A- F'IN -MEN. The superiority complexes demonstrated by some of these people blows my mind. No one is any better than anyone else. Period. I will drink what I want. You can drink what you want. It always comes to this at the end of these types of posts, and it drives me insane. Why some of us have to say this so much gets old pretty damn quick.

So you're saying that great beer is not as good as good beer?

    FAIL.

    Sours taste like goat piss.
    Saisons are for girls.
And I'm really tired of hearing about that limited release one barrel only beer that you had and I didn't.
Oh man that felt good...can we do this once a month?

There are a bunch of Scottish Ales and Weizenbocks at the door. They'd like to have a word.

Seriously, all the styles that I cut my teeth on when I first got into craft beer are styles that basically nobody drinks any more.

Many questions arise upon reading this. The main one is, "Why you drinkin' goat piss, brah?"

    Aaaand on goes my skirt.

30 Helen's Agree, Barleywine is life.

"Now if we could just stop breweries from dumping all of them into barrels that would be great."

    "You tell 'em Helen!"

Saisons are great in the summer

Scottish Ales are unnecessary any time other than winter

Now I am just being confrontational instead of controversial. I think I'm hangry

I agree completely about the stouts. My favorite meal is an Imperial stout with a rare ribeye, and a baked potato. I could eat that on a 90 degree day, or any day for that matter.
