    Hello fellow BAs,

I am located 10,500 km away and I’m trying my best to follow the micro brewery scene in the US. Given the circumstances, I believe I’m doing very well. Of course being a part of this community helps a lot. Even last year I was in California and rented a car and did a small micro-brew road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway.

What is difficult though is to understand the “availability” and how hard are some brews to track down.

One of the beers I really want to try out is the Treehouse Julius (or the King Julius) but I don’t know what the rarity of this brew is and even though I tried to find out, apparently it’s not that hard to get. I just saw that this week there is a 1 case per person limit. How many are in a case? But how “limited” is this really? Being located so far away I can’t get the feel. Can a person go and buy a case and then a few days later another?

If any fellow BA member is feeling like he is willing to do a nice act of kindness, PLEASE give me a shout and I’ll let you know what I have to offer.

P.S: I just managed to get my hands on a Heady Topper in Cyprus which is really amazing!

Julius isn't too hard to track down these days. The case limit is for 24-16 ounce cans. Someone could buy a case one day and go back the next and get another case if it is still there and at the same limit. Their beers are brewery only so they won't see any distribution. The tough part might be getting someone to ship overseas. Might help to list a few beers that you do have FT. Good luck. Julius and other Tree House are definitely worth seeking out. Cheers!

Thank you for taking the time to reply friend. The problem is that everything is available in the States.

Since this is overseas I am willing to take care of the shipping costs (to make it fair)
    .

I may not be able to offer a case of anything that would be “Julius-worthy” (I’m being honest here) but if someone is willing to try out different 750ml bottles from an amazing microbrewery in Cyprus I can offer these brews. It’s wuite interesting to taste these brews from the other side of the word. Next week they will be having a VERY limited 100 bottle oak-aged (1 year) Barley wine. I have reserved 5 bottles so I’m willing to offer 2 of these bottles + all their other beers for a case of Julius (and I will be paying for the shipping overseas).

    I also have a few 2016 Pannepots.

Oh and the microbrewery in Cyprus in case you want to check it out is PIVO

If I lived in that area, I'd certainly try to help you out, but...

Do you really want a case? That's a pretty good sized box to ship - and all of one beer. I know if you're going to make shipping worth it...make it worth it, but still.

You might want to go with like a 4 pack of Julius and 8-10 others (12-14 total instead of 24 total).

    Just trying to be helpful!

Thank you friend. Mentioning you would be willing to help, gives me some hope that I will find someone... someday.

What you are suggesting would be ideal but I’m trying to keep it simple. Instead of throwing another 3-4 demands or “wants” I’m just going with one to keep it simple. (If I could get a few more from Treehouse though, it would be great)

Also, if I am gonna take care of the shipping costs (which I’m willing to do), it works out better value as the size of the box gets bigger.

I agree. You might have more luck getting a mixed case. Tough to ask someone to give up their full allotment of Julius. I'm about 5 hours away so I don't get there a ton, but I can hit you up next time I go and see what I can do. PIVO looks like a sweet place. Good luck tracking it down.

    I couldn’t agree more!

A few cans of 2-3 types is much better for me as well.

PIVO is indeed a very nice place. And their beer is really worth the “hassle” of shipping overseas for a trade (and I’m not just saying that).

I’ll send you a PM since you are willing to do some good next time you go there.

    Thank you!
