If that was you over whom I kept reaching, I got the second to last. The bartender said he could squeeze one more and offered it to me, and I passed. You’re welcome. Don’t ever say I’m not a good BA’er.

Ha, perhaps? If so, thank you very much! We were the two guys sitting at the bar enjoying the USA curling match.

Might have missed out on prop but discovered their Bourbon Paradise and grabbed the last bottle for a reasonable price so that was an outstanding consolation prize.

LOL - I got there at 2.30PM and had lunch there. Had Prop and Reserve. My buddy who came around 3.30PM got the last pour of each prop and reserve.

Haha definitely saw it in there with it only being described as a regular paradise on the menu

Binny's Oak Brook has Northwoods as of 30 minutes ago. 1 per customer @ $24.99

Don't judge, because today is probably going to be my Forbidden Root and Beer Temple evening. Out of convenience to hotel location last night I went and ate at Sweetwater Tavern & Grille. They had bottles of 2016 BCBBW for $40 and 2016 BCBS for $30 for onsite consumption. Don't all rush there though because it was limit 1 per party IIRC. I clearly went with a pour of Drago instead. As a bonus, $5 Noon Whistle Gummypocolypse too.

Then when walking back to hotel with a friend/co-worker he needed to grab beer, so we stopped at Bockwinkels right by the Hyatt. Had about 2 cases or so of BCBS 2017 on shelf at $16.99 per. In case anyone is desperate, or someone is in town and looking.

There is plenty of BCBS still sitting around the city at many different places (Binny's, Whole Foods, etc.) for the MSRP of $11, so hopefully people on here aren't desperate enough to go pay $17.

Literally every Binnys Ive been in in the city in the last week had 2-3 cases of BCBS sitting on the floor.

Now that I've tried them all:

Northwoods - disappointing, bit too sweet
Reserve - very disappointing (somehow worse then regular?)
Prop 17 - Good, tasted like described, but I had no desire to drink more than about 6 oz
Coffee - good as always, Cafe Deth beat it out this year though.
BW - It just will never live up to that 2013 BCBBW high point

Basically, I regret the time I spent in line at Binnys, only to strike out... and then hustle on the trade boards to acquire them all. The only one worth getting was Coffee at the end of the day. Prop was a fun novelty.

I feel like a dumb-ass who bought into the marketing and hype that surrounds the release.

With all that you just unloaded here, you can probably skip your next confession.

I bought 3 BCBS at Whole Foods last night at their sale price of $7.99, just on principle. I already had enough 2017 for the next few years but at that price I just couldn't resist.

Wow, I haven't seen a sale price anywhere. What WF was that at?

Ha, I absolutely would have done the same thing. And just might, if you answer the above @croush question.

Goose was so far ahead of everyone a few years ago. I enjoyed Prop and Reserve but the hype is dead for me.

The location on Fullerton, near DePaul. There were at least 2.5 cases out on the floor upstairs, price was clearly marked as a sale from the original $11.99. I didn't take note of an end date.

I'm curious. Do you chicagoans think that most of the BCBS that is still around gets bought up by locals, or by people that are in chicago visiting?

I'm not a Chicagoan...but between myself and a group of people I know (from MI) I think we accounted for ~25 cases. I think the amount that goes out of state is considerable, but not more than half.
