Doesn't this seems way later than they normally post the brewery list and begin building the draft list than in the past? I know they posted this year's breweries on social media, but they usually have a copy-pastable list up on the site, and by now i think the draft lists were also starting to show up. I just really like seeing the list ahead of time and working out a plan of attack.

Personally, I hate using boxes, unless you are dropping off to a fedex (which usually isn't the smartest idea during beer week, they know whats in those boxes).

Usually I trust just having a beer roller bag that I can check, which means I can bring beer for the shares, and then have it to bring my Huna bottles back home. Also has wheels, so you are not trying to lug a 45lb box through the airport with a hangover.

CCB just posted that your Huna day wristband will give you free access to the gasparilla music fest sunday shows. Pretty decent perk for people sticking around Sunday. For out of towners even if the bands listed aren’t your thing, the venue itself is cool.

It is later. Not sure about every year, but looking back on last year’s Huna thread, they posted the initial tap list on Jan 27.

Their releases would stick around longer if they stopped letting people cycle back through and condoning the practice. Their goal seems to be to sell out fast than make it drag on. Keeps the hype going, fuels the secondary, and lets them go back to doing other stuff sooner.

I know AC is starting to look at slowing down the people getting back in line to make sure everyone gets some. But I have no hate for a brewery that clears the line and then let’s people buy more. It’s a business, their goal is to sell all the beer, make more and repeat.

They usually tap everything they bottle. If you are in town all week, I’d expect that you’ll find something really good on tap while you are there. Especially if you can do weekday drinking while the locals disperse after the bottles are done.

I did see that late start is doing a tap take over at coppertail this year, so I’m not sure what else AC has planned beyond bottles and the super rad beer event. I also expect them to bring some great stuff to Huna day, if you miss out or aren’t around during the week

Where did they post this? Didn't see it on FB, Twitter or IG. No emails.

Also, not being sarcastic, but I'm not following this at all. How does Late Start at Coppertail connect with AC? And what is the super rad beer event?

I do see the Gasparilla info now...really don't get how FB shifts shit out of order so badly sometimes.

Last year, the Late Start event was at AC. The Super Rad event is AC's usual TBBW tap event.

Anyone have any idea when beer list is dropping or app is coming out? Feel like info was already out last year at this time

Was at CCB Friday. They had 2 CCB branded wine totes on the shelf. $75 each and it comes with the styro insert. Damn good price.

I got one of these a few months ago. You can use your El Cat discount on it to make it $60.

Used it for the first time on a trip a few weeks ago, and it was the easiest time I've had bringing back bottles while flying.

I bought one at Cantillon back in May of last year and it was awesome. I'll be bringing it with my for my trip to Tampa for Hunahpu Day.

Is it me or has there been SIGNIFICANTLY less activity on the Huna Day thread this year compared to last year? Are they having a hard time selling tickets?

I think there was more random arguing last year, and this year everyone seems to be getting along and sharing info. I like this way.

I would say yes. If they reached out to Gasparilla to make the Huna Day tickets good for the concert as well, they are probably trying to reach other demographics.
