Jesus Christ Wayne Wambles, that's a lot of insults towards people you don't know. Especially considering Jackie O's themselves intentionally used a variation on the word "haze" at least five times in their own post.

I agree with you, I actually like Mr. Wambles, and I fucking love CCB--they're one of my favorite Stout and Barleywine producers out there (Trousseau, omg!). But when it comes to IPAs, he's a stickler for clarity and has no chill on pushing those boundaries. I wanted to side with him when he was debating with Other Half and others, but I just couldn't do it when all was said and done. And I can't stand Other Half...

 

I haven't even bothered to know what Other Half is but it sounds like you can't even respect a brewer who refuses to do NEIPA.

You gotta understand that a lot of the old school guys thumb their nose at this shit because for years and years and years (way before you were drinking craft) it was taught by experts that hazy IPA is sloppy IPA. Most of these NEIPA brewers haven't even bothered to persue brewing education. So when you say a really experienced (much, much, much more than yourself) brewer, like Wambles, should be discredited for being hard-nosed on clear IPA you really sound like jit that doesn't know how much he doesn't know.

Spirit Beast was a pleasant surprise, as #BIL isn't my mantra. Looking forward to trying Poly 3/4 when I make a road trip next weekend.

 

I highly recommend the block feature. In this case, I now have the added bonus of it seeming like someone is arguing with nobody.

@beace just wanted to say I made the run down there today to exchange a few bottles and like every time I’ve dealt with your establishment was a beautiful experience. You have the nicest staff of any brewery I have been to bar none. Your beer could be the worst I’ve ever drank and I’d gladly drink it to get to deal with your bartenders. Just a great experience, like usual. Oh and Houndstooth is the cats meow.
