As others have said, it is Copenhangen. It is awesome. The selection on draft and in bottles especially is huge. Lots of limited stuff. They had a few DL variants available on-site when I was there last summer, although they were $150/bottle.

Anyone else notice that 3 Floyds is really good at doing obscure styles?

    For example:

    Hopped in Half
    Fantasmo
    Man Splits
    Flying Tigersault
    Drunk Monk
    Gorch Fock

They seem to excel with German beers. Still not my preference but for what they are, the beers are great. Drunk Monk is a work of art.

FFF has always made great beer across the board with the exception of sours which they are making slow progress with....

I thought "Molten Mirrors" was absolutely great.

The bottle conditioned red wax Bertrand I thought was great.

Enjoyed Argues for Sport depending on the bottle. Pear Bear was awesome. Thought Sicario Piña was better than Molten Mirrors.

Skull Ole was fine for a novelty. Was better on tap at DLD than first time on tap the year prior at DLD

Good. I forgot I bought a bottle of that. It’s sitting in the cellar. Need to try that.

    Not more than.......4 months?

EDIT: The last time they tweeted about having it before today was July but.....I've seen it pop up on tap and swear I saw it on the to-go list in the last 4-5 months.

EDIT 2: They poured it at a tap takeover in December.

Definitely bottled a batch 10/31 because I remember they did Zombie Dust the same day.

According to 3floydswatcher on twitter it’s been 102 days, which sounds about right for Halloween.

So when I said they have always made great beers, but only recently progressing on sours, you've all offered examples from the past 5 years.....

Gone already. I looked up the Hop bill and it looks like only Citra (correct me if I’m wrong). So not sure why they don’t make more of it or make it more often. Missed it at the tap room, hope it sees a little distro

Permanent Funeral is a Citra beer?

Isn't it's reputation always been that's it's Double Zombie Dust (which is Citra, I think?)

I've never heard that................but I'm not saying its not accurate. But it sounds like something someone would just say. "woah, this is like a double Zombie Dust".

I've never heard it was Double Zombie Dust, but in the event that is true then- Permanent Funeral doubly doesn't taste like it used to.

I hadn't heard that about Permanent Funeral either, but with a quick Google search, I found this homebrew recipe: https://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/recipe/view/235749/permanent-funeral-clone

Quote from the recipe: "Per interview, they use only Citra hops"

I would assume if they wanted to consider it a double ZD, they would continue to tie in the name/comic reference. So maybe Pig Destroyer just loves dem citra hops.

Does the lack of BA beers coming out of FFF this past year mean they stopped aging beers after the DLD yields fiasco? Or are they using all their space to only age DL to ensure no more shortages? Didn't see any over the fall and winter and we usually see something by now, don't we?
