Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Supposed to be a nice warmer day out today, a little windy right now though. Need to run a few errands as usual to get ready for the work week ahead.

Fantastic as usual. Flavors of big toasted coconut, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, dark bread, marshmallow, and light coffee. Light balancing roast bitterness against sweetness; with an amazing creamy/silky/velvety medium body; light touch of sticky/chalky roast character and dryness. Glad it was easier to find this year. Definitely my top favorite coconut beer, but there are plenty others I buy more often. Wish this was year round. I bought a full case worth of 4 packs this year. This, Born Yesterday, and Xocoveza are my top big buy beers of the season every year now. Still have plenty left to hold me over til the fall.

Excellent IPA! Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate toasted biscuit, light caramel malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body and moderate crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very easy drinking, 6%. Fairly aggressive, but not overwhelming. Very dank/vibrant hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. Really classic tasting IPA. Feels like Columbus, Simcoe, and Amarillo. Really delicious, will buy again.

Excellent DIPA. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Super drinkable for 8%, and surprisingly light on body. Old school feeling DIPA with dank, earthy, and vibrant classic C hops; with just enough pale malt to balance the bitterness. Never overly aggressive. A bit vegetal/green peppery on the hops, but I love it. Almost finished off the 6 pack, wouldn't mind grabbing again either.

Today's morning massive beer review. This was fantastic! Decent head retention, mild lacing as expected. Flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, fudge, marshmallow, molasses, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of coconut, coffee, smoke, char, licorice, raisin, date, pepper, and leather. Similar aromas, slightly muted; a bit of booze as it warmed, but not overwhelming. Very mild roast bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full bodied; with a very creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel that is fantastic. Mildly increasing chalky roast and bourbon/oak tannin dryness. No cloying sweetness. Mildly inreasing warmth of 14.7%, minimal barrel booziness. Dangerously smooth sipper. Right on point with my expectations of similar ABV stouts. Super rich malt complexity with outstanding barrel integration; never overly boozy, tannic, or drying. Pretty similar to most of the Bruery stouts, as it isn't particularly roasty/charred on malt flavors. Extremely well executed. 4.25

    Morning BA

It’s been a while since I’ve had a breakfast beer, but I need some extra energy this morning to clear the snow.

What better than a balanced breakfast?

You should have skipped the milk and poured the Unjunct directly into the bowl .
They’re going to end up together anyway
    CHEERS MY FRIEND !!
ENJOY THAT BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS !!

I’ll be joining you in a second or two

You must be further north or west than me as it appears you got more snow . It’s in the yard a bit, but it turned to a slushy mix last night, so no shoveling is needed here ..

I feel that would be more appropriate with Carton of Milk haha

I’m about 2 hours north of AC. Got 5 inches.

    Looking forward to your contribution!

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING BREW LOVERS !!

Okay so my reviews will need adjusting .
I tried to find something yesterday in the same price range and as tasty as the Ballast Point High West VAS and ran into the 3 Beans BBA Cans .

Now I love the 3 Beans BBA, so don’t get me wrong, but it doesn’t hold a candle to the BP HW VAS.. plus the 3 Beans was $3 more per four pack of 12 ouncers..

It’s a shame that once you find a beer like BPHWVAS , which you truly love and is affordable as a daily drinker , that you can’t get it year round ..
Last year for me it was the Lagunitas High West Coffee Stout .
I think I’m seeing a trend here at least for my taste buds

Anyways I love them both for breakfast, lunch , dinner or any damn time you feel it’s right

    CHEERS !!

    Gotcha !!
Possibly Carton makes a Milk Stout that would be perrrrrfect
Have you ever had their Cosmonaut ?
That seems like it might mix well with some Cocoa Krispies or Cocoa Puffs

I might have to do some taste testing with what I have on hand .. lol

    ENJOY !!

Yeah it seems that you guys get pounded a lot with snow compared to us .. I don’t know if it’s the ocean or what, but the snow skates by us many times with either a dusting or rainy mix .. my buddy lives near you and he is always getting out the snow blower, while we have almost nothing .. it’s amazing how 2 hours and location can make such a huge difference especially when there are no mountains in the scenario ????

This is still the most fresh I have seen for the past few weeks in my travels (released from the Duvel cellars September 2017 with a Best By date of January 2019) and tasting every bit as fresh as I remember when having this batch in Belgium back last September...try to accomplish that all you NEIPAs out there!

More to follow later. In the meantime, enjoy the day BAs!
