    Brief but unfortunate update here....the die-line we were looking to implement for this 12-pack is not working well with the packaging line...as a result it looks like we will have to divert the liquid to draft and then coordinate the packaging into 12packs at a later date. We're not happy about this, but the silver lining is that we'll be able to sample lots of folks on great liquid on draft before the cans ever drop....which is actually way it always used to be done. I know a lot of the new school folks think that beers are born in cans and then eventually show up on draft, but those who know their history know beer is always born in a keg, and shows up in a bottle/can later...

    will have more updates as they come....thank you

    Sorry to hear that, but thanks for the update- I'll keep an eye on Beermenus for tap locations. I'm still really looking forward to trying it. And I'll drink it the old school way, too: a few glasses in a row :wink::grin:.

    Thank you for this brilliant descriptor of yeast, and how they work. Hilarious, yet astute.
    I anxiously await your redistribution to us here in Chicago.

    I take it this a City Brewing issue? I was actually looking forward to trying it.

    "actually" :sunglasses:

    The issue is with our paperboard provider. They got a little brazen with experimenting on a new die-line. The aesthetics were great, but now they have to address the functionality.

    This is why the "twirly bird" with the shadowless manway truly changed the game. "set it and forget it" - you can literally hit the button on your hot CIP caustic rinse, and come back a half hour later and the fermenter is sparkling clean. It made a lot of old horizontal and grundy tanks immediately obsolete.

    I imported some horizontal, stackable lagering tanks from Germany and had a CIP port installed. Still a pain for us to make sure everything that the caustic/acid dissolves gets properly flushed out. Is there something I am missing? (Anything that will make my life easier I am open to.)

    Nothing you are missing. I was referring to the modern, cylindro-conical fermenters.

    Fully-lagered and ready to go. Tasted some out of the tank recently and we're amped. Will be going into cans the first week of March.

    cheers

    Alpenglow can also be observed during the sunrise. Here in Colorado, you are wise to start hiking early in the morning, in the dark. So you can be off the summit by noon. We have monsoonal moisture patterns, and afternoon thunderstorms above treeline can be dangerous. Anyway, because of that, high mountain hikers see Alpenglow quite often. It can be difficult to photograph though.

    I am excited and I am sure this will be worth the wait! Any chance it will one day be in 6 packs also or waiting to see how this sells first?

    I would not rule out that possibility. But for now, we are starting with the 12pack format and draft.

    cheers!
