While I wont disagree that Hophead (HH89 ala gunz) is a huge Monkish fanboi, he doesn't seem to be the scuzz that exists as the people who sell things on secondary.

 

I'm tempted to sell two of my Tekus when I get the 6th anniversary one. What do you think I can trade for a Blue Hop + 6th Teku?

 

Damn missed out on Beats and the new stout during my visit.

DDH Babbleship & Anomaly are really great beers once they warm up a little.

Shit has hit the fan in all of the Other Half trading groups that I'm in. People are acting like the Monkish can that's dropping tomorrow is the second coming of Christ. Beer nerds in NY have been sucked into the very same Monkish hype they've been rallying against ever since Henry's cans have been trading for a premium. I feel like I'm in a fever dream right now.

 

Funny you mention that. I mentioned to my friend after seeing the IG post saying Monkish would be releasing cans in NY that I bet the whole New York beer scene is probably losing its collective minds right now. "Going fucking apeshit" I think were my exact words...You have proved me right.

 

And would you expect anything else ? I mean you have maybe the most sought after Monkish beer of all time in JFK and in addition they are dropping it's little brother at the same time and did you see the freekin board @ OH? good God, Yea, thats the hype game on roids for sure. Tuesday I'll have a 4 pack of each so I'll let everyone know if the hype was an overreaction .............LOL Talked to my friend this morning who's ITB @ a certain NY brewery I won't name who said when he left the brewery this morning he saw more people than he has ever seen, " IT'S A THANG " folks ! And all joking aside and with respect for your post, there's a reason " The Shit Has Hit The Fan" . Monkish just makes incredibly consistent freekin amazing beer.

If it's anything like JFK2LAX than it's going to be tasting amazing 6 months later

 

I honestly loved JFK2LAX at 3 months more than fresh.

 

tbh, fresh, their triples are meh, but with some time.. man, those things are beautiful.


Also, had the stout today, solid offering, but man, do I miss Gift of Death. Wonder if that will show up at the anniversary or some time soon, it's way past due and was fantastic.

 

i still have a 750 of GoD lol. not sure why.
