Yeah, showed up at 10:40 and did fine. Truth be told, the only beer I was genuinely excited for was Green Flowers!

i feel like the (#linelyfe) market is hitting peak saturation.

Meanwhile at Barrier where there is two OH collaborations, zero line and plenty of beer.

LOVE that I was able to get a growler of LGA to LGB at 4 pm with nobody in line in front of me!

    exactly my point.

the only people waiting in lines are the ones who love to wait in lines. thats all fine and dandy if thats how you want to spend your time but its just not necessary anymore if you want great beer. beer.

Rolled in at 11:00 all cans except for the one collab available, grabbed the LGA one, grabbed some pours in a comfortable tap room, @Jtbel1988 was magnanimous enough to give me a can of LAX to JFK and @Feaor tracked me down, good times.

Non-linelyfe question for the board: at this point, are the NYC bars who serve "Other Half IPA" all serving Green City? I've encountered official "Green City" on tap at Roses in Brooklyn, but haven't seen it named elsewhere. I ordered the "Other Half IPA" at a few establishments this weekend and definitely got the impression I was drinking something other than the normal OH IPA. I think I had disparaged Green City earlier in this thread, but the mystery beer I had was a juicy improvement on the OH IPA, and quite enjoyable.

That could be the case. I’ve also encountered a couple places misnaming ForeverEver (which tastes quite juicy and fruity) as Other Half IPA so that could also be the case.

Having said that, I really enjoy Green City and look forward to seeing it on tap all around the city.

From what I understand, they are phasing out OH IPA and replacing that offering with GCity. Makse sense as OH IPA represented nothing from their current offerings available at the taproom.

Yesterday Other Half may have hit the perfect mix to accommodate mostly everyone. The hard core people who had to have everything at any effort got their beer. The people who wanted everything but weren't complete hardcore lined up at a reasonable time and got everything and the people who wanted to expend little to no effort got everything except the Monkish version of the collab. Add in the fact that 4th anni was on tap still and the host of others on tap, pretty much a perfect Other Half day.

Just to clarify something - you're telling me that linelife people lined up overnight and the only thing they got that others didn't was a re brewed collab brewed all the way in CA and shipped across the country on a truck? doesn't that kind of defeat the whole idea behind these beers?

I really do think the linelife people are losing their minds now and will wait for poop in a can if it has apparent exclusivity attached to it.

Yea and the new sour is pretty damn good. Learned it was a blend of 3 beers after you and your brother left.

Anyone know if any cans lasted the night? Ive got to go to BK today and was thinking of stopping by.

At Other Half? They might still have DDH Oh... but everything else sold out yesterday afternoon. They've got J Wakefield, The Answer and Alvarado St on for pours today tho

I’m afraid you have that incorrect. People lined up at a relatively normal hour and still got the Monkish version. So overnight line life didn’t benefit at all
