Yeah... I was about the 17th or 18th person in line and just missed out. Was able to grab BBT and BACSV for on-site and lucky enough that a few kind souls shared so I was able to try Derivation 1 and 2. Picked an awesome day for my first visit to SP!

Glad you got to try 1 and 2, in my experience most folks that drink there are quite generous with sharing

Prep yourself now for late March. Pluot collab. Probably small bottle format. Can't wait, as they are one of my favorite fruits. If you've never had them, I'd strongly suggest giving them a shot.

I had to lookup what the hell a pluot is. At first I thought it was a brewery since you said "Pluot collab."

For clarification, this is a JO collab using Pluots.

If it’s like the last collab it’ll be around for 3 months.

How are Side Project releases for a beer like Fuzzy? Considering making the trip down from Chicago and just wondering how early one has to be there since it says allocations based on turnout? Any info is appreciated

There’s only been like 5 releases in the past year that weren’t effectively unlimited.

Cory will make sure that everyone in line gets a bottle. He will at least peruse the line to see what the limits need to be. He really hasn't had to do this in the past, so you should be good. From time to time, the cellar will "silent" release the beer 1-3 days before the actual release so locals can get some/relieve a bit of the release crowd.

Come as early as you want, but seeing as you are from Chicago, don't camp out.

Might rain, and it depends on what you are looking for. If you just want the beer, get there before noon. I plan to show up early with breakfast and bottles in hand to share. Gonna be a great day if the weather is nice.

"For this big day, we are going to shut down our parking lot and create a better space for all of those attending to bottle share until the tasting room opens at 12pm."

    I like it

    Making the trip!

When do people typically line up to be within the first 50?

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to be in the top 50?

Need to get to the airport ~2 and not familiar with how the line moves at bigger releases.

Has anyone had both Fuzzy and Weldwerks Peach Climacteric? I had the latter at Fobab 16 and was blown away. Are they similar fruited sours or are they trying to do different things?
