Never seen a social media reaction to a BL release like this before. Already clocked almost 300 comments and over 3,000 likes on the Instagram announcement in just a few hours.

This sucks. I'd really like bottles of this, but the last time I saw a reaction even close to this (Number Crunch) I got shut out, even though I tried the moment it became available. Was the only bottle last year that I got shut out on.

BL ramped up their stasis beer production in 2018 and the last few releases have been significantly easier to purchase than previous years. Sure this nilla beer will be likely be on the radar of many but if you've done the F5 dance before I'd wager that you'll have a pretty good shot a landing a bottle.

Excited to try this one but I'm a cinnamon skeptic. Cinnamon seems like it's been a common adjunct over the past year for many breweries and one that can easily overpower a beer if overdone. BL hasn't disappointed me yet though so I'll be going after this one for sure.

Couldn't agree more. No Rules was a no go for me, and MXY was borderline for me.

Number Crunch came out with Fundamental Observation which I'm sure made it a much more enticing trip for out of towner. Of course, this pickup overlaps with WoL.

with the ramp up in production of stasis beers, it will be interesting to see if/when BL decides to start tacking on extra bonuses to WoL 7-day customers. I've gotten caught up at work a few time this year and missed lvl up only to easily score bottle(s) on public release. For me the leisure window isn't enough of an incentive anymore to justify the time and money WoL actually costs...at current gas prices (60 mi RT from Riverside) + cost of a full pour a day + approx 1.5-2 hrs/day it's essentially a $200 investment for me.

    Things that might be cool:
    - years of achievement perks- like people with 2+ years get access to 2-3 exclusive bottles each year, or 3+ years get access to exclusive events like tasting/pairings. exclusive crowler fills would be cool too for small batch stasis style beers that don't make it to bottles

    - could tie in number of allocated bottles to number of years you're an achiever. I like this idea because it would essentially keep public sale counts similar even as they continue to expand stasis production.

    - exclusive achiever merch throughout the year. the enamel pins are cool, but not for everyone. I'd be the type to collect tshirts from every year! or glassware (all previous WoL glassware was publicly available)

-random incentives- show your stamped passport and get discounted pours on certain days throughout the year

In the past, they stated they won't be offering exclusive bottles for the ones that attend for all days of WOL, such as FF. Hopefully that doesn't change!

With their success, I don't think they need to offer discounts or additional perks then last year. I imagine it'll be as crowded (or more ) this year even if they don't change anything.

I'm further away than you, and that's why I decided not to attend WOL last year. Not worth the extra two bottles, as much as I'd love it.

It never was for me since many beers were unfinished the one night I went.

Actually in last year's passport it did say to hang on to it as they would have "random incentives" throughout the year ... so the idea is there, just not the execution

I have never understood people driving more than 15 mins to go to week of logic. I got better to things to do, this seems to be meant for the monkish line up crowd. I am cool with getting 2-3 bottles of a release, as I have now started stockpiling bottles of bottle logic and can't keep up drinking with their one bottle a month releases.
This next release sounds amazing! My favorite type of donut is a cinnamon roll, I love cassia bark (I liked Red rover more than a lot of other stasis releases), and FO is amazing. This sounds like a beer meant for me!

I'm bored and have nothing going on in my life, I fill that void with drinking.

It's a good time to just go and drink their beers, regardless of the incentives.

Totally off-topic, but I just want to acknowledge that Eventbrite's search feature ever since their re-design is the worst search feature that ever searched. I can barely ever find an online sale when searching by the beer name or brewery name. They have to know how terrible it is, right?

    OK, back to beer.
