Now that this turned into the burger thread, Plan Check is the best burgs in LA.

If we're going by "chains," Plan Check is definitely up there (as is their fried chicken), and lightyears ahead of Stout (yuck), but I think Golden State across the street on Fairfax has made the most consistently excellent burgers in LA since they opened. At least since I've been here, the only place in town that has done it better on a regular basis was Comme Ca (RIP). ERB downtown is nipping really close on their heels though. Button Mash has a surprisingly good burger as well. Belcampo in GCM is less surprising, and equally outstanding.

Burgers taste better when there is a decent tap list offered

I apologize for what I kind of started, but I am writing down all of these burger places for when I eventually return to LA and find myself near one of these. So I do appreciate it, and I have sent all information to my sister as well. She has said the only one she has been to was Oinkster and she enjoys the pastrami a lot there.

Leo's tacos are solid (taco truck on eagle rock blvd). hugo's just up the street from the aforementioned proof is pretty good too.

Pastrami? Go to Sorrento's Italian Market on Sepulveda in Culver City. Bang for your buck. Better deal than Johnnie's Pastrami. $6.50 for a large(foot long). Forget the double meat for $10. It's already double-like. No beer....sorry.

Best Pizza within delivery range of Green Cheek brewery?

not delivery, but Blaze and Pizza Press are at Orange Circle and pretty close. Maybe Zito's on Katella delivers? I'd personally follow Hobo Co pizza and hope that they're at either Bottle Logic, Noble, or Terreux and then make the trip to Green Cheek.

Societe’s the Roustabout DIPA makes it’s return to the OC. On tap at BT’s Southern BBQ in HB. I still like my Societe IPA’s. Wish they would can the Pupil.

Any recommendations for a nice seafood/veg friendly restaurant with good beer, that’s good for a nice date night out? Have really enjoyed Son of a Gun on previous LA trips but looking to try something new this next trip.

What area will you be in? You could go straight to the source with some breweries/pubs that have food. in DTLA, the new Modern Times location is veg friendly, might be able to find something at Mikkeler Bar too. Hermosillo is a solid option, though not sure what vibe you're looking for. L&E Oyster Bar in Silverlake for more of a restaurant feel and they have had some HPB beers before. Majordomo is really new near chinatown and per their menu also carry HPB

Mohawk Bend in Echo Park is very vegetarian friendly and they tend to have a killer taplist.
