Well let me clear it up for you..Not telling everyone what the Day's Bottle is till day of release...not announcing what the price is until day of release..saying we may be here we may not..not exactly warm and fuzzy

Let me translate their Passive Aggressive Post for you

We know all you Fuckers are going to be in line at AC at 8:00 each morning..if you think we are going to wait here for you all to get your AC Bottles then stop at CCB to get CCB Bottles then roll in here around 1:30 to get your Cycle Bottles forget it..

What is the thought or strategy behind not releasing the bottle detail and prices? Makes it difficult to plan, but maybe that's what they want.

*edit Nole post had not been posted when I sent my post. After reading your post I think you nailed it.

Had to login into my wifes FB to read their post. I didn't think much of it other than not announcing the bottles each day, odd. And that dudes comment about cash only... is this his first Cycle release & THANK GOD its cash only, no one wants to wait in line longer to have cards swiped

Here is the FB post for those who dont use FB.

    Beer Week Releases:

Same as always, except now we can start early on Sunday too, so it is 8 AM Sunday (3/4) - Friday (3/9), 1 bottle release each day, details on those bottles will be announced the day before or possibly the morning of release. Opening hours are subject to change and will be announced daily only if we are NOT going to stay open all day, we are aware of the other local release schedules and based on crowds, or lack thereof, may adjust accordingly. If we say nothing, we are open from 8 AM til close starting this coming Sunday, March 4th.

Glassware, shirts etc. will go on sale starting Sunday.

Release is the exact same as it has been in the past, limit is determined based on the line, price will be announced when we release details on each bottle. CASH ONLY for bottles.

Friday we have our Barrel Aged Day event, there is a bottle that has been in photos (F/O) for the attendees, it is SOLD OUT, and if you are going to the event and want a Friday bottle then you need to go to the tasting room, probably before checking in for the event.

Taps at 5 each day, anything leftover will be tapped at the tasting room over the weekend, open normal hours Saturday and the following Sunday.

Barrel Aged Day event reminder post will go up next week, if you went last year then expect it to be exactly the same, if not then keep an eye out or find our post from last year because we might just cut and paste it.

The logistics of all this TBBW stuff is really starting to make my head hurt. The FOMO on something is strong... just not sure on what yet.

    LOL.

I'm not even bothering with Angry Chair. Have no interest in trading and I'll try a lot of those beers on draft or friends will get them. Cycle stuff usually hangs around for awhile so I'll try to make 1-2 trips that way during the week to buy bottles.

Only CCB I'm interested in is Thursday and I work 5 minutes away so will run over when it opens. Should be an easy TBBW for me, hopefully.

I really wish Tampa had great canned IPAs. There are so many Ba stouts now that I just don't really give a shit about them because I can find a great one year round. I drink way more IPAs and wish we had something like Calusa going so I could get 4 packs of tall boy cans of a NE style IPA every couple of weeks.

Sounds like the only place in the country with that problem at this point. I'm in the middle of stout central in Ohio and we're still inundated with NEIPA's now. Not a bad problem to have though. I definitely like being able to have both all the time.

I agree and honestly I'm shocked that someone hasn't capitalized on the opportunity.

Just a short drive down to Calusa.... I live 5 minutes from Calusa but still make it up to Cycle for all their releases. Plus, Calusa cans are available for 5 days ++ after a release so there typically isn't any rush to get there.

You should come to Austin, we are struggling hard right now at the canned IPAs, at least NE style. We are also really struggling when it comes to the BA stouts when you think about it. Shocking for a city with such a huge beer culture and a lot of breweries. Ok sorry, back to CCB stuff!

I’ve enjoyed several of the Green Bench releases lately. Between them, Civil Society, and Calusa I’m not sure anyone in the area is hurting!

I have no desire to regularly drive an hour and a half each way for beer. North Tampa to Sarasota is a much bigger pain in the ass than Sarasota to Saint Petersburg.

Couldn't agree more. Spent lots of time recently in NorCal and hazy IPAs are the rage at the local breweries there and in NV. I have a fridge full of BA stouts

I agree. It has to be done well though. Failed attempts at NE style IPAs are frequent, chalky and yeast bombs. And some local versions are good for one or 2, but not good enough to frequently purchase. I get that it’s an investment to treat the water and that it requires a different yeast strain than the other core beers but one of these breweries has to make the commitment at some point.

I'm not much for imperial stouts so my fridge is full of IPAs from Green Bench, 7th Sun, and Calusa. Occasional Civil Society cans from a friend that comes over from that coast. Throw in some bottle /can releases of saisons and berliners and I feel like the Tampa area has some great lighter style options to the imperial stout releases. I enjoy the stouts but don't drink enough to justify buying them every release.

I have a 5 year old that’s playing baseball and a newborn so my beer trips are much less frequent. I get down to Sarasota occasionally to visit friends and stop at a Calusa every time.

Tried to trade some fresh M43 and Boss Tweed $4$ for Cycle, AC and FB not too long ago when we were in the area and no bites. Seemed like everyone was holding on pretty tight to their stouts.

This. I'll also be in town from Austin for some of TBBW and of course Huna Day. I will cherish bringing back a bunch of BA FL stouts.
