Yeah they had a little of everything but King Sue ($13.50 I think) had sold out, or at least the shelf space was empty. Plenty of hopsmack, Pompeii and something else. Was in a bit of a rush

Fort Point Market had Pompeii for $12.99 and Pseudo Sue singles for $3.79.

Fwiw Pseudo is a lovely pale ale. Sipping it now. Really nice expression of citra. Tough price point in a competitive market though

$11 is tough price point? Just curious, what would you say is comparable and cheaper?

I got Pseudo for $13.50 at yankee and loved the beer. Actually found myself drinking them noticeably faster than I would say a TH or trill. Figured I can't afford to keep ripping through them so best to just stay away, but at 11 I think I might be hooked

Just snagged a four pack at Craft Beer Cellar. Just a heads up to be on the lookout for elsewhere, not sure if a genuine mistake or a semi-shady move by TG or Atlantic, but there was the 4 pack I grabbed, which was in a cardboard box and dated 2/11/18, and a second 4 pack in one of the alchemist-style plastic 4 pack holders dated sometime in November. Personally I won't turn up my nose at a 3 month old IPA but pushing 4 and their debut in the state, I thought it was a little weird.

For a single hop pale I'll take lizard king at $9 all day long.

Same price is nightshift one hop. Some of those are lovely and will likely be days old rather than weeks.

Like I say, fairly saturated market. Being a decent beer at an average price isn't gonna cut it these days

Very happy to see them in New England! Looking forward to drinking both Pseudo and King Sue sometime this week

Looking forward to the 4pks of King Sue tho

Thanks! I hadn't looked into lizard king and will give that a shot. Gave up on the NS one hops after a few whiffs, though would give it another shot if I saw galaxy.

Comparisons I had in mind were straight fort point and say proclamation derivative. Guess we probably just rate the Pseudo a bit differently.

The sue not in a cardboard box (plastic holders), especially being from November, is the sub-par sue from Florida (Brew Hub).

Hopefully that was a mistake and they are not trying to unload it.

Sue from Decorah should come in a box and say brewed in Decorah on the box and cans. When it first dropped here in the Midwest, it wasn't dated, but I believe that has since been resolved.

Never had any proclamation but wouldn't even include PS in the same conversation as any trillium.

In fairness, I did just open a second can and truth be told, I'm digging it a bit more. A lot more mango and bubblegum. A bit more complex than the first. This one is much colder so maybe my haste to try a shelfie earlier skewed my taste. Still though. Good beer in a market with a lot of competition

Hot damn King Sue is good. Hope the can prices are more reasonable whenever they start coming around

Paid $15.19 for a 4 of Pseudo at One Stop in Haverhill. Notorious for their high prices.

I think Pseudo Sue is one of the best of its style and as long as it makes it MA fresh and is priced on par with the Night Shift's and Castle Island's of the world (which is cheaper than Trillium), I will continue to buy it. I like Trillium's little bird series at $13+/4-pack, but I think Psuedo Sue is another league at the same price point or even lower.

I grabbed Psuedo Sue (in the cardboard box even) last night at Liquor Junction in Winchester for $11.99.

I thought it was really good. Very full mouthfeel and lots of fruit in the nose and taste. I didn't really get a chance to fully focus on it so that's about as specific as I can get. As for haziness, I'd say mine looked a touch hazier than the photo above.

Have they changed this beer since it debuted in 2011? Because in its present form I can certainly see why it would have made a big name for itself back then.

Would agree it's better than the small birds. PS felt a little undercarbed to me, but that's really my only complaint - flavor reminded me of the first time I had Zombie Dust on tap. I paid $14, at which I can't argue with anyone saying that paying $15 for Fort Point makes more sense. But at $11 it might very well be the best 16/4 value I've seen outside of Alchemist stuff at the brewery, and I'll buy a real lot of it if it pops up at that price frequently.

Hit Boston yesterday -- at least at Fort Point Market.

King Sue - $15 for 22 oz. bottles
    Hopsmack - $15 for 22 oz. bottles
    Pseudo Sue - $14 for a 4 pack cans
    Pompei - $13 for a 4 pack cans

Would need to think King Sue and Hopsmack need to come in around the $17 to $20 range for a four-pack once they transition to cans if they want to continue moving beer in this market. But to each their own! They certainly sold out quick at FPM (King Sue and Pseudo Sue at least...)

Is this getting distributed to kappys or is it more upscale liquor stores? Kappys is just the closest to my house and would prefer not to have to go searching for it.
