Interesting. I should clarify I don't expect them to write this stuff on their cans per se but it would be nice if they had that kind of info on their website. Cheers

As a beer geek myself I love knowing whats in the beer I'm drinking as well! We used to list ingredients (specifically/most notably hops) on all of our beers, but then we started packaging them - and once you start packaging in larger scale, you're limited in tweaks/changes you can make without having to redesign labels and carriers for bottles (which we were exclusively using up until this past June) and cans. You'll still see specifics mentioned for limited/seasonal batches on line/in videos, but for cores we've gotten away from that entirely. I think on our first rounds of labels we had specifics on there, but as reorders were needed after a couple thousand cases we realized that since we are always striving to make our beers better and tweaks would happen, all of a sudden those labels were outdated. Nothing drastic, but a tweak here to the mash temp to adjust the body or moving hops from the hot side to the cold side to increase the dry hop there, to sometimes saying "fuck it, we just need more hops!" and all of a sudden a printed can which we order in increments of 250 barrels (almost 8,000 gallons!) can get outdated before we've ran through packaging materials. So for core brands don't look for any specific hops anytime soon, because we're always striving to make our beers the best they can.

But! We have and do list certain hops on seasonal/limited run beers. Summer Catch specifies being lightly dry-hopped with Citra and Amarillo, and White Caps does say Citra and Mosaic on the can, for example. If/when (hint hint!) we start doing small canning runs of more exclusive beers we'll definitely be listing more information on those stickered cans.

And sometimes the specifics aren't as much as the story as the rest of the story is, like with Always Ready, coming out tomorrow. This beer features a massive hop bill, and as such listing the hops on the can would take up over half the profile/description space (trust me! As I write the descriptions I'm always struggling to be less wordy and keep it concise for brevity's sake, so I'm always looking for ways to trim the word count so it's not a novel about the beer on the side of the can!).

As for having some of the specifics on the website, that's not my department but I can certainly suggest that!

I really appreciate the explanation (especially since one wasn't even necessary) and it's all completely understandable. I think the packaging is perfect the way it is. I'm actually not huge on the ingredient list stuff on the packaging itself but sometimes when I find a great beer (like your regular IPA which is one of the most consistently great beers of the state), I like to snoop online and see what hops/malt were used. I'd rather have a grest beer with little or no info than an okay beer that says what hops use. Thanks again for the insight and keep up the great work!

A Lady in the Room was an amazing beer, better than Topsail, but gone from the brewery in like 2 weeks, while the others sat around forever. Its a shame I would have bought a lot more of that one. A couple friends love phantom crew as well.

Both dating systems have their limitations, especially when the quality of the bottling line is an unknown for the customer. Any chance you folks could figure out a way to do both? Weyerbacher does that on their bottles and it's very helpful to know both the bottled on date and the brewer's estimate of shelf life in one convenient location.

Ooops almost forgot to mention. What few beers from you folks I've had a chance to try I have definitely enjoyed!

Hi everybody! We just got TTB approval for our next canned offering, which will be coming out in a couple of weeks, so I wanted to share it here first! We've been brewing Corrosion as a draft only offering since January of 2015 and I always hoped one day we would package it, and soon that day is finally going to happen - so I'm super excited for this beer to finally make it to market. It'll be 4 pack tallboys and should make it to the places that got City, White Caps, Snag & Drop, and I do believe it'll find it's way to Philly, too.

Seasonal? Will it be around for the summer? Sounds like a great summer beer.

Have had Corrosion at the brewery and it is FANTASTIC! Was sooooo pumped to see this finally getting canned. Definitely planning to do an official review once the cans drop.

Great song. The moderators will probably remove your post though. go Figure!!!!!

I love to match a song and beer when I can, Last weekend I had This is Not the New Neschammy Creek IPA with This is Not A Love Song-P.I.L. and Bowie's This is not America.

Love me some Coastal Evacuation. Had it my first trip to Cape May, which was with my GF (now wife) and her family. Looking forward to going back down in July for this!
