I think the general rule around here is 8:30am will guarantee you a full allotment no matter what. Having said that, you can probably role up around 11 or so and get everything with no wait for this one.

I wish Barrier's version had more complexity, all of their IPAs are starting to taste the same and not in a world class way.

I get this, I always thought HH branding was cheesy but it's definitely distinctive and is growing on me lately (I like the hand-drawn aesthetic, dad jokes, '80s cliches, etc). It doesn't hurt that their beers are good to outstanding - the stuff at OH last week was not their best showing but their recent Clipboards and triple IPAs have been crazy good.

As a side note, they are roasting a whole pig at their Anniversary event next month... can an NYC brewery do this too, please?

I have to assume this has already happened in an overnight/ early morning OH lineshare.

Threes did exactly this last summer!

It was vividly burned into my memory after I saw this photo. Does anyone else find it to be somewhat disturbing/gross? Could just be the vegetarianism speaking, but I have to think being able to look into the eyes of an animal while you're eating its flesh is a bit uncomfortable, no?

There's also One Mile House, who does it on a yearly basis, and it's always damned delicious.

I didn't know they did that at Threes! That's great.

Re: the disturbing aspect - it's trite to say this but more people should know where their food comes from. Also more people should know how delicious pig heads are.

Meat Hook uses pasture raised meat from local farms, whole pig roasts like that are probably the most sustainable possible way to consume pork (tastiest too). People being grossed out by actually looking at what they're eating is part of the problem, imo. (No offense to you tho, vegetarianism is clearly ethical/sustainable! I just think it's also important to support ethical meat)

We did a hog roast for my “rehearsal dinner” (ie the night before wedding where all guests turned up and got wasted) at my wedding in Scotland. We also had two cases of Thornbridge beers which were awesome

Wonder if they put any Snowbirds in barrels.

Picked up 2 4pks of the Interboro version of the collab and it’s pretty tasty. The OH version should be very good if this is any indication (the bitterness is a bit too much on the finish IMO).

Totally agree. Barriers collabs offered nothing new. Secure the Bag was kind of hopwater-ish. Bet reminded me of Money.
