I was interested but didn't make it out. 45 minutes each way, $20 in beer (If I only have 2!) I'm better off just grabbing a 4pk of each saturday.

I have to hand it to them: I'm drinking a can of LGA 2 LGB right now and it's fantastic. Tasting like candied citrus and stone fruits. The 10% is pretty negligible on this. Having had a 4th Anniversary can last night I can safely say this is less boozy than that even with the time disparity.

Curveball for a minute here: drinking a magic green nuggets tonight, and wow has it mellowed out. Really digging it compared to the freshies I drank a month ago.

Get busy dyin was given out as a gift for their anniversary party back in Jan, and it was available as a bottle pour in the taproom for a little while. Has anyone tried it?

I did. It was very carbonated but I liked it. I think I was in the minority in that though from what everyone else said about it.

Always boils down to personal preference: what I liked about 4th was the balanced/candid caramel-malt presence. Now with LGA...Well, it seems as though Monkish stripped all that nonsense, and replaced it with a plethora of creamy, stone-tropical, fruit (e.g. orange, mangoes). Consequently, was sweet, but certainly not overbearing + did a fairly decent job of cloaking the abv. Regardless, galaxy played along nicely in both

OH’s IPAs hold up just about as good as anyones imo. Drinking an OH forever now and at almost 2 months old its just as good as day 1.

What do people mean exactly when they say stone fruit. Like peach? It’s a pretty broad descriptor that covers a bunch of possible flavors

Totally agree re: the malt presence in 4th Anniversary. My hypothesis is that they used a pretty hefty dose of malted wheat, which often manifests as "caramelized brown grains" for me. Works really well with super intense dry hopping to cut back that perceived bitterness.

I haven't had LGA, though with reports of a "creamier" feel, I suspect they substituted the wheat for a bump in oats? Been debating swinging by to try it on tap and grab a growler or two, but initial reports that it was boozy (and didn't live up to bar set by 4th Anniversary) have held me back. Has anyone done a true side-by-side of the two?

For OH flavors, usually peach and apricot, though plum might be another possibility. The mango and lychee flavors come off differently to me, despite also being stone fruit. Same for cherries. And raspberries. Christ, I've now realized saying I get "stone fruit" is kind of meaningless. Think I'll name my next beer DDH StoneFruit.

ETA: This list is pretty good for what I'm thinking about, save cherries.
