Online Beer Tastings - Idea Submission Thread (2016 - 2021)

I'm in.

I like this idea. Several Iowa breweries are producing some excellent pilsners. It'd be a great opportunity to showcase some lesser-known examples of the style.

 

I'll go with whatever the group decides (though if a sour I may drain pour), but what about AAL? The more BMC the better? Back to your roots? Remember high school (or grade school)?

 

We did an AAL last year, I think August? Lotta folks, myself included, were a little surprised by Coors Banquet.

I'm down for Irish dry stout, including foreigns/exports or local pilsners.

 

Yeah, I hosted that one, although I'm sure it was earlier than that (I'm thinking May). Really great participation all around, too! I can see doing it again, but it's probably too soon at this point.

 

Seems most are down with the idea of an Irish Dry Stout tasting, so let's do that,

What day works for most? Honestly, St. Paddy's day doesn't work for me as we'll be going to a soccer match that night. Otherwise I can work in most weekends. Maybe next Saturday, 3/10?

 

I could see doing it again as well, that was a fun night (except for the Bud Light...)

Unfortunately the next two weekends are out for me, but I'm fine after that.

 

I can work with the 24th. Might give people time to see if they can grab a local one.

 

If we do it again it should be limited to Lite/light beers.

Okay ,that's kind of a goof, but I'll still do one if it happens .

 

Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale should be out soon. It would be a great choice easy to find and inexpensive.
