Bingo - another option. However, when Otter Creek hosted us 2 January's ago, we had to come up with the $200 DLC tasting permit for the day. Apply to you, Steve?

My vote is for December 1st or 2nd.

If you need help Ruth, you know where to find me. When you visit the venue please check into electrical outlets, some finger food in crock pots is good this time of year.

I'm gonna vote for the 8th - Zwanze Day is the 1rst, and I am headed to Portland once again to one of few sites worldwide to enjoy it. Keep the suggestions flowing people - it's your party!

Middlebury obviously isn't as ideal for me as Waterbury or Burlington, but I won't let that stop me if that ends up being the venue

I think the generous offer of the Drop In Brewery is the way to go. These events usually end up in the greater Burlington area, it would be nice to meet in Middlebury.

I for one think that anytime we have a chance to meet at local brewery we should jump on it, after all isn't it our obligation as Vermont BA's to support our local beer scene.

Input from the rest of you...........

+ Free. Roomier. No water issues. Tasting room for after. Maybe Steve would like to do a chat on ABG.
    - No public transportation. Farther for core group.

Let's use the poll feature BA now provides to vote. Anyone know how to set one up here?

Drop in seems like a legit location. I haven't been their and it'd be nice to meet them.

Thanks for checking in, Steve. According to our poll, looks like Drop-In Brewery on Rte. 7 south of Middlebury gets the nod. As for dates, how about Sat. Dec. 15th? (Personally, I really don't want to miss Zwanze Day on the 1st!) Joe - do you want to follow up on this? I am headed over to Portland Beer Week tomorrow for 5 days. Let's continue all further group communiques on the other thread: http://beeradvocate.com/community/threads/vt-ba-meet-up-tasting.46422/ and get it up on the events calender. Thanks much for stepping up, Steve and looking forward to sharing the love at Drop-In for a little BA holiday warm-up!

Reminder - The Beer Train is leaving the Waterbury station on Sat.the 17th @ 9:30am for a pubcrawl down in Brattleboro. Special RT pricing for an AMTRAK e-ticket is $24! Get there at 12:30, walk over to Whetstone for lunch & beers, then up to McNeil's if desired. Re-board at 5:10pm and gets back to Waterbury at 8:16pm - in time for the Lawson's event at Prohibition Pig - what a finish! Here is the link to get a ticket - says you can book up to 1 day in advance, but don't wait too long - UVM students leaving early for Thanksgiving are notorious for selling the seats out. Hope to meet up with any & all Bratt BA's down there. If anyone from Bratt wants to do the reverse in order to hit the Lawson's event, you are welcome to crash at my house overnight 12 miles east of P-Pig (yes, I will shuttle you back Sunday a.m.)
Again, here's the link to book:

Stopped at McNeills yesterday and I must say I have rarely seen it better. The place looks great and the couple of beers I had were excellent. No casks offered, but I am sure that will change by then.

Wish I wasn't on my way back down to MD for Turkey day this saturday, because this sounds like a blast! Have fun everyone, and I hope to see a similar event in the future!
