Not a beer shop find, but both CBS and KBS are on tap at Five Horses in Davis.

The Toppling Goliath drop is really good, so far. I've tried the Pseudo Sue, King Sue, and Pompeii. They're all pretty great. King Sue really nails that NEIPA thing. As for price, not quite as bad as I thought. Pompeii (4 pack) was 10.99, Pseudo Sue (4 pack) was 11.99, and King Sue (bomber) was 12.50. Nice addition to the MA distro.

Hopsmack ($12.50 bomber) is pretty great too...

King Sue at Wegmans for 12.99, if I recall correctly it's similar to trillium pricing when they were still packaging bombers. It sure was tasty but like others have mentioned in this thread and the TG thread, one and done at that price.

Was pumped to see those as well, but only got a pour of CBS due to the price point.

Rosebud has a 'Battle of the Barrels' 3/12-3/17 which is featuring Jack's Abby/Springdale, Barreled Souls, Firestone, Lamplighter, Allagash and Upland. Not sure if things are released slowly over the course of the week or not, but definitely something to pay attention to. They usually open up some Lambic when they do events like this as well...

I didn't get either, mainly due to alcohol percentage (had already been drinking that night). I'm also not crazy about KBS the last few years. CBS was good, but I had enough a few months ago.

If I recall correctly, they do different brewery releases throughout the week. They've had Cantillon bottles lately...including this past Saturday night. $35...but I forget the size of the bottle.

Ahh okay, hopefully Barreled Souls is early in the week since I won't be around towards the end. Good to know about how often they have Cantillon availabile. Need to go to Rosebud more than I do, but always find myself at Five Horses, for one reason or another.

Five Horses has the better draft list by a mile. Food is good there too. But Rosebud's food is better than Five Horses in my opinion.

Pro tip: Five Horses for drinks first, then Rosebud for dinner. Or vice versa, build a base at Rosebud, then finish off with drinks at Five Horses.

Picked up mast landing gunner’s daughter at CBC Newton today. I also picked up Springdale Am I Rite, Vanished Valley Pomona, and Von Lune Pilsner at CBC Fenway. I’ll let you know how they are.

Aeronaut Imperial Galaxyc Cirrocumulus DIPA at Bacon's in Hudson. Just a few days ago I had a TH Green that for the first time wasn't way into, thought I should take a break from galaxy beers. Been meaning to try this for a while.

Verdict: delightful. A tiny bit of a rubber band thing I pick up on the nose which I get with lotsof galaxy beers, but feel, bitterness, taste, etc. all great. I'm loving this and glad I opted for the 4pack instead of just a can.

Anyone try the Von Lune Pilsner that Mystic was somehow involved with?

Bombers of Pipeworks dark beers popped up today in a few places.

From Redstone Stoneham, I grabbed two collaborations with Interboro, Tonight at Noon Central Time ($10.99; Russian imperial stout) and Panther Like a Panther ($12.99; porter blended with barrel aged beer). From CBC Fenway, I grabbed Coconut Jones Dog ($12.50; imperial coconut chocolate milk stout).

Plenty of Tonight at Noon Central Time and Coconut Jones Dog left, but it was the last Panther Like a Panther.

Loved Interboro at EBF and the collaboration with Barrier that popped up here. likewise Pipeworks since they arrived in state. Might have to seek out

My best find was a case of 2016 KBS at a large supermarket near Buffalo sitting next to the egg cooler in the back room of the dairy storage area in the back of the store in July. Through the doorway I saw Founders on the case and couldn't help but walk back and check it out. When an employee was asking me to leave I told him what I was looking at and he said let's have a look. It had a sheet of paper on it with the name of a manager that was no longer working at that store. I asked if I could buy it and he said sure. I was holding my breath in the checkout line hoping it was still in the system and a one 4 pack limit didn't kick in. Lucky me. I walked out with the entire case at $22.26 a four pack.

The next best find was pallets of Founders Breakfast Stout for $3.99 a 4 pack at my favorite ghetto grocery store. My best guess was that a distributor was dumping it because it was 6 months old. I bought 3 cases and it lasted over a year. It cellered well with just a little drop off at the very end.
