They've also released WF twice in the past 3 months or so. That helps keep the hype down (see Dirt Nap, WWDD etc.). The beers people once traveled/lined up for don't draw the same crowds when they're released more regularly. Obviously in addition to it being twice as much as they've ever made and it being sold alongside 6 other beers this week as you mentioned.

Hope this keeps up ! Doing a few days in Richmond in the beginning of April and have a stop at Veil planned. Hoping some carry out packages will also come with me!

Having beers start to show up more frequently and no big hype beers in a given week certainly helps with lines and availability. I like having the special beers come out (Circle of Wolves, Never Never Again Again, etc) from time to time to have something interesting and new to try, but its nice to have weeks where you don't have to be in line at 2PM on a Tuesday to be able to get any cans. I am sure its a measure of hype dying down and beers starting to show up with more frequency, but I think that is a good thing if you just want to be able to purchase and drink the beer.

I'm clearly late to the game. While I've known for a while that Veil has had batch variation problems, some of these most recent cans are pretty rough. CT seems nowhere near where it should be and has been and DN just tasted playdoo like almost. WF is tasting good, but still pretty frustrated with this slew of IPAs.

The most recent social media posts about the new system seem to hint that "yea we've made some less than mediocre beer recently but NOW we've really dialed it in" which is bull.

I hear you on the Dirt Nap. I didn't buy any but a friend gave me a pour last weekend and I thought it had a really strong chemical offtaste.

Never Letgo (DEBUT) is the next iteration in our fruited Gose series. Clocking in at 4.9%, Never Letgo was conditioned on hundreds and hundreds of gallons of Pomegranate purée.
    Shooting for approx 190-210 cases. $17+tax/4-pack. 1.5x cases/9x 4-packs per person

IdonteverwanttoBU3 (DEBUT) is the TRIPLE dry-hopped version of our 9.3% 0 IBU DIPA IdonteverwanttoBU. Hopped with a clinically insane amount of Citra and Mosaic.

Broz Broz Night Night is the double dry-hopped version of our 9% Citra DIPA Broz Night Out. This one turned out insane. We love the base beer, but with the DDH treatment it becomes gnar-gnar in the best possible way!

These would be a brew that would be understood if they decided to throw some crazy ingredients in a beer but chances are they won't get wild and crazy although with what DFH does it would make perfect sense.

Got around to checking out the IG video The Veil posted yesterday. It was tough to hear with all the background noise going on but one of the beers brewed is a DIPA (no surprise there!) with a bunch of different peppers on the big system and then the 2nd is a Stout (ingredients kept a mystery) done on the pilot system. Both should be ready in a few weeks.

    WWWWSS?

That's a REALLY good idea on the DIPA. I had BBNN on draft this week and it has that peppery/vegetal thing going on (like what happened with Extra Kreme but way more subdued) so this way if they haven't worked out that issue they can hide it with actual peppers. It makes too much sense.

    Tomorrow's (3/6) Releases. All debuts....
    ________________________________________
    - I’m Derek Jeter is a new 8% DIPA hopped generously with Galaxy, Mosaic, and Nelson hops.
    Shooting for approx 160-185 cases. $16.50+tax/4-pack. 2x cases/12x 4-packs per person

    - You’re Derek Jeter is a new 10.5% TIPA hopped intensely with Citra, Motueka, and Simcoe hops.
    Shooting for approx 160-185 cases. $17.50+tax/4-pack. 2x cases/12x 4-packs per person

    - whitemiata is the 6% IPA version of our beloved Citra/Galaxy DIPA whiteferrari. The luxuriously soft mouthfeel and beautiful integration of two of our fave hops all together in a more crushable ABV.
    Shooting for approx 180-200 cases. $14.50+tax/4-pack. 2x cases/12x 4-packs per person

    - Double Coconut Hornswoggler That’s right! We took our 7% robust chocolate milk stout Hornswoggler and conditioned it on TWICE as much coconut as our Coconut Hornswoggler. Almost half of a ton of coconut.
    Shooting for approx 140-165 cases. $20+tax/4-pack. 1x case/6x 4-packs per person

We will be hiding 15x Golden Tokens underneath the 4-pack holders(only on Hornswoggler cans). Find one of these coins and give it to a staff member behind the bar to get a free Golden Hornswoggler glass(as seen in the picture in this post; the Hornswoggler himself is on the back side of the glass)! This is the ONLY way to get your hands on this glass. We will never sell this glass. It is only acquired if you are the lucky few to find a Golden Token. We made 40% less of this style of glass than the last Hornswoggler glass. Make sure you try to grab one before we switch to the next style.

We most likely will have a small amount of Never Letgo(pomegranate Gose) cases and a decent amount of Dry-hopped Coalesce(Czech Pilsner) cases left from last week still available on Tuesday. Anything left will be set at NO LIMIT.

Not a fan. I'm sure more people will come out and spend a lot of money. Personally this set up means I'll spend less money on anniversary beers than I did last year.

The anniv party last year was so smooth and enjoyable, interesting they are changing it up so drastically. Then again to be fair, if I missed out on tix last year I might have a different opinion. Either way looks like a week of lines, especially for the SF's.

They don't even have an option for anything to be ticketed which bothers me. If they had a way to buy an allotment I'd have jumped on it. I'd have been made at myself for spending that much to get 1 bottle/4 pack of everything, but I'd have bit in a heartbeat.

I would not be surprised if in future updates they announced the opportunity for people to get a full allotment of everything being released without having to be there every day. Maybe a lottery for lets say 50-100 people can pre-pay and show up Sat / Sun to pick up.
