Old Nation M-43

Kevin, you should always remember your Elkhart County connections. If you would have let me know last Wed. I was in a grocery store near Kalamazoo staring at several cases. Jonathon and I generally have been able to get M43 over the past several weeks. Enjoying one now bottled less than 2 weeks ago.

 

Sorry to miss you this time, was out of town this weekend. Did you try the Brett Chardonnay barrel aged Saison?

 

I'll be visting the UP this weekend, is there any current distribution in the area or only after the April date?

In case no UP local replies to your question, I'll suggest that you check out any Meijer store that you see while in the UP. M-43 is usually available in all/most Meijer stores in the lower peninsula.

Indeed, I was referring to the question about M-43 hitting distribution starting in April. Yes, statewide distribution started in April of 2017. Sorry for not clarifying.

 

Thanks, I'll be driving north to Mount Bohemia and won't be near any of those town on the eastern side of the UP so it sounds like Houghton is my best bet.

 

Awesome. In addition to finding some M-43, Old Nation's Boss Tweed is on tap at the Fitz (As is Bells Expedition Stout Aged in Port Barrels, among some other gems). Great place for a meal and a great selection of beer, if you've never been. Only open on the weekends right now though.

 

M-43 is everywhere in Michigan now. Boxer is brewed on occasion and Boss Tweed is distributed state wide as of 12/2017 but is based upon sales of M-43 in regards to allocation amounts.

 

M43 and Boss Tweed found in late February just over the border from WI in Menominee, MI. The cans ranged from 3 weeks old to 6 weeks old, but there were at least 3 cases of each.

 

Anyone know a place near the Indiana border that might have Boss Tweed?

 

What state border? Just across the border in Michigan at State Line liquors they get Boss Tweed once every few weeks. Generally only 1 case so they will only sell you 2 cans. Sometimes if you sweet talk em you can get 4 or if they get 2 cases then they will sell you 4
