I'll just pretend the last few pages didn't happen, other than the couple of helpful posts that there are some options for those of us who don't live within easy travel distance. I'm five hours away but make a pilgrimage over the holidays when driving down to see family in the Carolinas, so I appreciate the encouragement to reach out to the Making It Right address anyway.

Thank you, Brad, for all of the detail included in the blog post, and for all of the open communication with the BA community here.

Looks like Cycle had infection issues in their Monday bottle... and are issuing refunds. I wish JO could've handled it in a similar matter (I know I'm beating a dead horse at this point but this is my hill.) Oh well.

Cycle found out they were infected literally hours after releases. Not remotely the same situation as JO's.

Haha exactly. That is a horrible comparison. Not to mention Cycle had to refund probably what, a few hundred bottles? Maybe a thousand? And they were all purchased at the brewery.

@beace any idea what the plans are for some of the releases that have been delayed while the new bottling line gets sorted out?

We are commissioning the new bottling line this week! We will be waiting to get all lab results back from our lab and another party before we release anything. If all goes well we can look forward to 4 new clean barrel aged beers before the end of March! 3 new sours coming out this month as well. Pasteurizer shows up in June. No adjunct beers till then.

Had a Spirit Beast at La Cantina in Columbus. Incredible stuff. Rich and flavorful while staying silky smooth. Was better then the tacos I had.

There’s always the kane Mexican brunch too, but that’s okay.

Again, different. Smaller brewery, smaller number of bottles (and of only a single beer), ticketed release, only available for purchase at the brewery. Seems like you have an issue with how Jackie O’s handled it. They’ve made it clear that their line of communication is open. Maybe try getting in touch with them?

I have contacted them, all options besides merch require a trip to the brewery (7 hour round trip for me). I just know others have the same issue as I do. Just bringing up the fact that other breweries have similar issues and handle it in a different way. That is all.

You would have the same issue if you bought the bottles from cycle and came back to Kentucky.

Anyways thanks for your internet presence.

Hold up, refund is completely different than exchange/brewery credit.

Anyways, thanks for your reading comprehension.

If it makes it any better for you, we are doing bottle for bottle exchanges, not $ for $. You could be getting 14.99 or 17.99 sours for the bad bottles, or 15.99 clean barrel aged beers. Lots of great options coming out in the next 4 months, by June 30th.

When you say $15.99 clean barrel aged beers, does that mean the cost of your BA beers is going from $11.99 to $15.99?

I believe he's referring to Antik, which is $15.99.

We have released a few 15.99 clean barrel aged beers. Our price at 11.99 is not changing.

Maybe this has been answered somewhere, but JO's blog post doesn't specify. Do the bottles turned in have to be unopened? I have a friend with several opened bottles that were bad, that by chance he happened to hold on to.

Nope just email the making it right address. Tell them what you have and they will take care of you.
