Not quite sure what says medieval about that design....but since they mentioned it I think the design should have been total Renaissance Fair with a moat, drawbridge, spiked walls. They missed a great opportunity....

I don't think so but Emmure is playing May 18 at Bottom Lounge... Hopefully that's a positive indicator for DLD

Lots of Facebook trolls about ticket sales today! We are getting closer!!!!

 

It does feel like we've gone an eternity since last official DLD update but I do recall (maybe incorrectly) that an update from 3Floyds regarding ticket sales gets posted approximately a week ahead of time.

 

Yep, ticket info was announced March 10th and tickets went on sale March 18th.

On March 10th, the site went live and they announced the 4 reg + 1 variant + tote bag. It wasn't until later that they changed it to be possible vintage instead of a variant, so I guess we have to be hesitant to take anything they post in the next few days as 100% certain.

SPECULATION: My guess is that tickets will go on sale on the 17th, and that we hear about it on the 9th.

I can't be the only one that is genuinely excited at the thought of knowing one week from today more information about tickets...and then one week later hopefully having tickets locked down...right? I believe I'm starting to develop a case of Dark Lord Day Fever.

 

I keep seeing that DLD 2018 tickets SOLD OUT page and freaking out.

 

Last Year was my first DLD and I too am stoked to get those Ducats back in my pocket. I think after experiencing it once, I am more excited this year than I was last year.

 

I may be the only person this insane...but I could totally do that with the Earl of Biggleswaid. They had it on tap in 2015 and our group managed to get 5 or so 5 oz. pours. I drank well over half of that while everyone was making grimace faces. What can I say? When I eat Indian food, I munch on the cardamom pods.

This will be my first DLD... are there shuttles that run from Chicago to the festival?

 

Yes. Jak’s Tap and Beer Temple run shuttles, as well as maybe one or two other places.

 

I'm going to try to make it to 9pm this year. I made it to 6pm during the monsoon year two years ago, which I thought was an accomplishment in and of itself. Hope I don't become "that guy" laying on the ground with an outline of empties surrounding me!
