I'm not really sure what problem this solves. This will just have people sleeping in the ally the night before now. This will not reduce the crowd IMO, it will just make the crowd arrive earlier.

No surprise. They are just too hot right now with beer drinkers and drink flippers

That's 3 less hours people are hanging around the neighborhood.

That's the entire reason for the adjustment per the post

Yep. One of these days, all breweries will move to online lotteries for both event and bottle sales. I'd be pissed if I lived in the residential area around AC.

See this is where I disagree. The people will still be there the same time, they will just arrive earlier. They will however be gone earlier, so there is that.

Correct. While its three hours less TODAY, people will just get there earlier tomorrow and Thursday.

But from what they posted.... That's what they are aiming for.... Get them gone sooner.

There were people who showed up at 3-4 and were sixty in line . It's clear people were already lining up way earlier for this release.

So ac is just pushing up the inevitable sale.

I was all for earlier release earlier in this thread. ImI okay with the change

This will just make the line worse. Now all the people that would miss the release because they had to work at 9 or 10 will be able to go. It is a lot easier to be an hour or 2 late to work than to call out for the day. It will be a SHITSHOW for real.

Does not make any sense to benefit the neighbors at all. Only going piss them off even worse seeing as the line will start even EARLIER. Bottle shares and banter will be full swing by 4 or 5am instead of 7 or 8am.

I know it will never happen but they really need to consider doing these releases off site or online presales with no proxies, like Westbrook does for BA Cake.

The neighborhood cannot support this. It's a total mess from parking to people not cleaning up after themselves. Not to mention the neighbors hate it. Some have gone as far to make fake no parking signs for their houses.

AC seems to always come up with new and better ways to fix their problems and I would think they will continue to do so. I would not expect it to happen for beer week this year but maybe we will see some changes moving forward.

I just don't get it. You have ~1k bottles of each release... you put 1k tickets up online, then those 1k people show up, spread throughout the day and pick up their allotments. It's not that hard.

It would make a lot of sense if they did something like this.

They could even spread pickups out over the week to limit traffic.

Things like supreme saint/etc are perfect reasons to not move to online sales. I believe someone in this very thread mentioned someone checked out in less than a second for rad beer event.
