Drinking another new beer at the monopoly, Mack Arctic beer. It's the second Norwegian beer I've had after buying Borg (Export? Pilsner? it was 5.2% anyway) a good number of years back. That beer tasted like Swedish pear cider, and I had to drain pour the remaining cans. I didn't have very high hopes for this beer due to that experience but this beer isn't far removed in flavor from a Swedish lager beer, though at 4.5% it is a bit lighter bodied than a Swedish Export but fuller bodied than a Swedish folköl (3.5% grocery store beer). As per the website it's 20 IBUs which I think shows in the beer and makes it quite well balanced for the abv. There's no real hop flavor or aroma however, instead you have a mild malt flavor and mild bitterness balancing each other in an overall clean and dry 4.5% lager beer.
