Nice. This one is great so far. Combines two of my favorite things: history and beer. It’s definitely spawned an interest in reading more about the beer industry in the context of Prohobition. I’ll try to find a good book about that after. Cheers.

The four year old is watching The Boss Baby for the umpteenth time, but it doesn't bother me because Alec Baldwin is in it and I'm following up a barrel aged stout with a real good local IPA.

 

Enjoying a collaboration between some of southern Delaware up and comers, Dewey, Big Oyster and Revelation. It is a sour stout with cocoa nids, raspberries and blackberries, pretty solid tart, chocolately and jam like, cheers!

Never got to try much Penrose stuff while in Chicago (I think I had a sour of theirs?) - how is this? Sweet-side as an imperial or does it stay dry and bitter? Cheers!

As a former(many, many moons ago) powerlifting enthusiast, I had to check out the deadlift record. What an incredible feat of strength!

Very well balanced. Juicy notes on the smell, citrus up front, slightly bitter finish with a full mouth feel. This the third and the best I have had from them so far, all pale ales (I think they got notoriety from sours/wilds), and I've enjoyed all of them to the point that every time the beer store guy tells me what came out and I tell him what I want, he asks "Are you sure you don't want the latest Penrose?" and I say sure and end up glad I did. Sooner or later, I'll probably learn my lesson and just ask for their stuff. Glad they started distributing. Worth picking up, and I'm looking forward to picking up a 4 pack of Pebbles, their triple dry hopped Midwest style IPA, this week.
