Spiritual experience facilitated by beer?

Huh? I took a hit of acid once and drank a bunch of Budweiser’s, that’s as close as I get

 

Oof, if that's what happens when one takes acid, I'll have to stay away from it.

 

I achieved enlightenment when I tried Bodhi for the first time. (Or was it Even More Jesus?)

 

"Oh my god, I'll never drink again"

 

Never happened to me directly, but there have been a few young ladies over the years that repeated the above phrase multiple times after we had been drinking together. I'm guessing that would qualify?

 

Drinking fresh Guinness in the 360 Bar on top of the Guinness Storehouse in 2008 was as spiritual as it got for me. Also the hotel we stayed at had a wonderful pub on the ground floor. Fresh Guinness in Ireland is fucking fantastic.

 

Yet to be experienced. Took a test once, was 29/30 nonspiritual, so the beer and context need to be great!

 

Beer has facilitated washing down my throat substances that later accounted for spiritual experiences. Does that count?

it made me realize i'm not religious at all and i don't believe in it.

Many an occasion on cold winter nights drinking belgian strong ales and looking out at the trees, I felt connected to nature, and to god, and it gave me the space to feel geniunely appreciative of god and the earth he has blessed us with, and my individual blessings of course, most chiefly to be able to sit and drink belgian strong ales while staring into the woods without worry.

 

just call it Billion Year Old Carbon

 

Well, one time I was throwing Frisbee at an outdoor concert, and drinking many beers. Jumped up for the Frisbee, came down hard and dislocated my knee. Problem is I had ridden my cycle there, it had no electric start, the kick-starter lever had broken, so I had been push starting it. So, I push start it, and due to my knee I couldn't keep up when it took off while dragging me. I somehow managed to get on it before hitting anything, sobered up considerably, and it was indeed a spiritual/adrenaline experience.

 

I have longed to leave my physical body during the throes of horrible hangovers... does that count?
