there's an excellent pizza place in Old Koloa Town that had a few good taps and killer pizza. It can't be hard to find, as the "strip" is about 5 stores long.

I didn't get to bring very much.. had three cans, but accidentally left them in the fridge the morning we left out... I did hit up Kauai Beer Company THREE times... tried every beer they had brewed... really high quality stuff... great small brewery. I was very impressed. I ended up at Kauai Island Brewery twice... not bad, but very average overall... I highly recommend Kauai Beer Company over them.... better atmosphere and better beer.

    BUMP BUMP BUMP..

Anything new or not mentioned come to light recently? My wife and I are headed to Oahu (2 days) then Kauai (8 days) for our honeymoon starting Sept. 22 - Oct 2

Also, any special events (beer-centric or not) happening?

    Thanks/Mahalo!

Kauai Beer Co just released their newest Wet Hop Ale today. Cascade hops. Do stop in and say hi and try some of their great beers. All around great place.

Just had loads of fun there. Nothing on the beer front though. . As lame as Luaus sounded, I rather loved Smith's

Bring a snorkel for north shore

    Aloha!

Had a great time on our honeymoon. Kauai Beer Company is the shit. Kauai Island Brewing was just okay. Brought a growler of Kauai Beer Co. Wet Hop all the way up 4,200+ feet on our Wiamea hike. Not a crazy selection at shops but it was nice to try of Hawaiian craft. Kalypsos on the North Shore... coldest beer I've ever had, awesome. Thanks for all the tips! Cheers!

I'm currently in Kauai and just wanted to say that between the Foodland and the Wine Market, Princeville has the best bottle selection I've seen on the island.

Also opened a 2013 Sahalie and a Ginger Bu Rice at Kauai Ono tonight. That was fantastic with the amazing food.

Just landed in Kauai, and went looking through this thread. Turns out Feral Pig is permanently closed, so folks doing what I did? Don't get your hopes up on that front.

Hitting both local breweries this week, and slamming the canned Maui beers available at Foodland in the meantime.

Biggest sorrow is that the Big Island Brewing Imperial Red w/Cacao isn't on shelves here. That beer made me so happy on my last trip out to the islands.

Also, always looking for Black Pearl, but haven't made it to Maui in a decade. Someday I might get lucky...

Here now as well. The foodland in princeville had a good selection. As for restaraunts, the happy talk lounge at hanalei bay resort had 10 taps and street burger in Kapaa also had quite a few.

    Kauai ramblings...

Kauai Beer Co. of course. Orange and Tropical Armadillo outstanding

Kona Brewing Hanalei IPA. I've had the bottled version here in MO and it was just OK. Tap version in Hawaii was really good. Should find it all over. Was a nice goto at Brennecke's in Poipu.

Monica's Taqueria - awesome Mexican food near Kapaa. Worthy. Kona bottles.

Hanalei. Kalypso Bar & Grill had an impressive tap list. Pinks Creamery is top notch ice cream.

Talk Story at Hanalei Bay resort had a couple of interesting selections. Bartender gets to choose a couple.

Tahiti Nui. Filmed Descendents there. A few MBC taps.

Keoki's Paradise in Poipu also had a couple of interesting choices. Again, bartender gets some leeway.

More Poipu. Merriman's. High price restaurant that had some nice bottles. Had a Big Island Brewhaus Holy Humulus bomber.

Checking if there is an update on this thread? I'm heading to Kauai in June, wondering if there's any place worth visiting. Or should I just bring my own beers.

I posted in the IP trading forum, but here seems like a good idea too.

I'm going to be in Kauai from 6/12 to 6/18. I can bring Russian River for someone who wants some. I'm not looking for anything special in return, but I would be happy to help someone out who would like to try something new.
