Is the excitement for the limited can releases because of the 16oz format? I am confused as I've been going on a near bi-weekly basis over the past 4/5 months and never had an issue filling up my growler(s).

I got there at 10:59 and was #33 in line. I’m guessing they haven’t sold out yet.

I think the 16 ounce format is nice, as I can have one can while also having other beers to try. I hardly ever get growlers due to having to drink 64 ounces all in one night. But you’re right that with crowlers and growlers easily available, it’s not a huge thing to get cans. I’ve made most of the can releases because I’ve been working from home and live less than 10 minutes away, so it’s convenient.

I think because it is easier to trade cans than crowlers.....

Big $ savings over the crowlers too

Possibly also the trading scene (easier to trade/mail 16 oz cans)

Very true. Though I really appreciate the pricing model Corridor has been using. Their crowlers are usually very fairly priced. Then, their 64oz growlers are usually a fantastic value - I just don't get them because I don't usually drink more than 32oz in a sitting. A lot of other places you might only save a buck or two on a 64oz growler vs a 32oz.

Then, the cans being basically the same price for 4-16oz cans vs 1-64oz growler - it's a no brainer to get the cans if you are able to make it there.

I was there at 11:30. About 40 4packs left at that time

Does Corridor fill any type of growler? I have the 2L(~67oz) flip top that I like for both size and the seal it creates, and I refuse to get any more growlers especially after throwing out a useless other half dozen I had because breweries were making people buy their specific ones.

Won't be a problem. Haven't had an issue getting my swing-top 2L growler filled.

dont put too much stock in that picture. i love maplewood but they have a real habit of posting pictures that look nothing like the finished product. look at pretty much every juice pants or son of juice release theyve hyped on social media.

    I have yet to have a NEIPA 10%+ that isn't boozy as hell. That's the $hit I don't like.

I agree for anything from Chicagoland. If you ever get the chance to try Dragon Saddle from Hoof Heaerted, though - it does it well.

Squeezeit is legit. Low carb, low bitterness, alcohol barely detected, soft, and juicy. Just a tad sweeter than I'd like but well done.

Toro! on draft at FR was neither too boozy or too malt sweet. Very smooth and deceptively drinkable. The cans on the other hand...

Ditto. That's how I made the first ever can release at Forbidden Root, which appears to be a moot point now, but that's fine. Hope to make a Corridor release this summer. And achieve my 2018 new year's resolution of making one of the Tuesday night bottle shares at Forbidden...
