Also when did the Other Half Instagram comments transform from trade requests to requests for muling with "standard rates"? Have we hit a tipping point?

Go to the Fbook group. Standard practice these days. Every second post is about muling. Standard seems to be cost + $10 per 4 pack. Mental

That puts it on par with Grimm cans that seem to be 29 or so by the 4pk at a number of stores and the OH cans are fresher.

The best is the girl just trying to flat out sell Huna for $40.

Remember that time some girl was (ostensibly) willing to travel cross country to attend a party as some guy's date in exchange for a broccoli teku?

I remember a guy that would fly out from Cali, land at JFK, line up at OH, go back to JFK to fly back to Cali with OH cans. This has nothing to do with re-sellers, but that's intense.

Wow, OH makes some damn tasty beer, but...really?

I think this guy worked for an airline and was able to travel for free. Not sure that makes it any better though. Lots of other places in the world I would go with free air travel.

Not sure if this is lore or truth but I heard about some guy who paid for someone to wait in line, bike the beer to an Uber/Taxi which then drove it all the way out to Philly.

Plausible enough. There are already plenty that have someone wait in line before then having their beer delivered via uber by said line water.

This isn't that surprising given how quickly the beer sells out. If the beer was lasting for a week, then sure. How would sales be different if 25 and 27 per 4pk were the new 20 and 22? One might just get 4 for every 5 they used to get and the beer would be more likely to last another day?

It's true, but it wasn't a bike, it was the three-eyed dolphin that haunts the Gowanus Canal, and the taxi was driven by the illegitimate son of Michael Jackson of beer fame (not the singer); upon arrival in Philadelphia the buyer shotgunned the beer and declared it "not bad".

This is incredibly common in the everything goes FB group, however there is at least one other large OH page which is trading only, no cash or mulling allowed.

I would love to see OH post that you cannot buy beer unless you're wearing women's lingerie and if these hazebroz would actually do it

Read the Angry Chair article that was posted a page back. Yes, bros waited in line since the night before and acted the usual loud drunks etc etc...

...but more shocking was that the list price for the dessert stout was $35 a bottle and people turned around and started selling it for eight times that much in the parking lot to those who missed out. Whoa.

Ah didn’t realize there were multiple. The one I joined basically involves muling posts, reselling posts, posts asking how much to list their teku on eBay for etc. Anyone who dissents basically gets a ton of gifs posted in the comments section along with “your mom” type comments.

Didn't someone comment on OH's IG page that they were in the tap room and willing to sell their 3rd anniversary cans for $40/4pk after OH posted they were sold out? Not as egregious as 8x, but still hard to believe the douche-ness level to do something like that in their place of business using their IG page.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, there are so many scumbag shady dudes in the beer scene these days. The resellers are the worst. I don't understand how someone could say they are a die hard fan of a brewery, only to turn around and resell that businesses product at 400% markup.
