One of my first stops in Atlanta when I get home from Afghanistan next month will be a home brew supply store. I know Hop City sells homebrew supplies but I live several hours South of Atlanta so I'm not too familiar with the area. I am specifically looking for bulk grains (50 lb bags). Anyone have any recommendations? Or should I just stick with Hop City? Thanks in advance.

Thanks! I plugged in my location and what do ya know, the closest shop is actually Hop City! hahaha! That's still about a 3 hour drive for me but I'll be up that way soon anyway so I'll probably just go by there.

I haven't lived in Atlanta for a a few years now but when I was there I went to "Wine Workshop & Brew Center" in Decatur a few times. seems to get good reviews online and it was solid for me the few times I visited. This was extremely early on in my homebrewing career so big grain of salt on the personal experience

I grabbed some 50lb bags from U Can Brew Too south of the city. Great guy and great prices.

That's the plan. I've been sitting in desert for a year now doing nothing but reading brewing books! I brewed a sour before I left that has been doing its thing for a year now that I plan to finish up. After that I want to brew a Pale Ale with New Zealand hops, inspired by my trip to New Zealand a few weeks ago and after that I want to try my hand at a NE style IPA. I will soon be buying an upgraded system and afterwards I plan to start brewing weekly.
