Mildly surprised after all the recent criticism, they ran out of horns so early at 1 4pp, I heard it was gone a few hours before close Tuesday.

It sold out right at 6pm. I can't believe they had 300-400 unique people come through and buy a 4-pk in 2 hours. Not surprised it sold out, because DOUBLE COCONUT, but I really can't understand how it happened so fast.

Someone in BTV was saying there were 3-4 POS vs normal 1-2. That probably helped.

If I recall correctly, when they did PBO horns they had 800 allotments and sold out before 8PM at 1/pp. That stands out in my mind as the high water mark of hype and sales.

I heard the line was ridiculously fast too, additional POS are definitely the answer here. It would be nice if more stations became the norm. I wouldn't mind a long line nearly as much if it moved quickly - they have the right idea on that part of the anniversary releases for sure.

People were shocked they sold out of AB COW at like 7:30 (that's the last release I went to) but the only reason it lasted that long was because it was the slowest line ever. If they had moved the line even at a normal pace it would have been gone by ~6PM. If they'd moved at this faster pace it would have been gone closer to 5PM.

They did have 3 POS systems, so the line did move fast. The thing is, there was never much of a line at all, even before they opened. I suspect that they had a low turnout and allowed people to go through the line multiple times. Not a big deal or anything, that was just my impression after leaving.

Anyway, White Miata is pretty good. Maybe not their best single IPA, but good nonetheless and I'm happy to see them make it, I hope we get more like it.

It has a pretty heavy body and it kind of feels like you're drinking a DIPA. That can be good or bad, depending on why you're drinking a 6% vs 8%. If you want that DIPA experience but with less alcohol for sobriety reasons, this will do it for you. If you're looking for something that goes down a little easier than an 8%, this might not be the one.

All That You Are is the next offering from our Funkhaüst. Clocking at 5.6%, ATYA is a mixed fermentation spelt farmhouse inspired ale barrel fermented in freshly dumped red wine French oak barrels for 12 months. We blended the barrels together and allowed the blend to condition for 4 months in the bottle. The results are truly amazing. Beautiful minerality with characters of bright and juicy pear, dried lemon peel, delicate aromatics of vanilla and fresh flowers, with an elegant/restrained acidity.
There will be approx 360x 750ml bottles of All That You Are available. $20+tax/750ml. 3x bottles per person

There will be 15x 1.5L magnums of All That You Are available. $60+tax each. 1x magnum per person.

    Never Forever3
(cubed) is the triple fruited version of our Passionfruit Gose Never Forever. Clocking in at 5.3%, this one is straight up insanity. The absolute most fruit we’ve ever put into one of our goses. Tropical, bright, sour Passionfruit in your mouth hole. It thicc y’all! **PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF FRUIT IN THIS BEER AND THAT IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THESE CANS REMAIN COLD AT ALL TIMES.**
We are shooting for 150-180x cases of this one. **We will post tomorrow evening with some more accurate numbers.** $26+tax/4-pack. 3x 4-packs per person

Never Gonnagetit3(cubed) is the triple fruited version of our mixed berry(Raspberry, Boysenberry, and BlackBerry) Gose Never Gonnagetit. Clocking in at 5.3%, this one is straight up proper mental. We put the same irrational quantity of purée into this one as we did Never Forever3. The jammiest of the jammerz. So much berry in this one and thicc as a smoothie. **PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF FRUIT IN THIS BEER AND THAT IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THESE CANS REMAIN COLD AT ALL TIMES.**
We are shooting for 135-160x cases of this one. **We will post tomorrow evening with some more accurate numbers.** $26+tax/4-pack. 3x 4-packs per person

The Veil made a revision last night to the limits on both Never beers. Expecting the same yield on both but limit decreased to 2x 4-packs per person. No expected changes to Master Shredder or All That You Are limits or counts.

Never been to Veil for a release, gonna be heading down in the near future. What time do people normally start lining up for one of their more hyped releases? Sorry for being the annoying out of towner

It's been pretty easy going lately. There may be a small number of people (<10 or so) that begin to line up a couple hours before open but for the most part unless it's an extremely low yield (less than 100 cases) of a can or bottle release most everything lasts into the evening and even carries over to the next day so unless you want to wait then showing up an hour or so after opening you can get everything. The past couple weeks they have even has 3 POS going so the line has moved much quicker than usual and at open the line has not left the parking lot (est. 50-75 people) I don't think. The Horns and Never cans used to go quick but even those have been lasting into the following day at least.

People normall start lining up for their releases at 3 (releases are at 4). This works for 90-95% of their releases, but when they have something super hype with low yields, people start getting there in significant numbers maybe around 1:30 or 2.

You almost never need to get there before they open though, I can't remember the last time you had to be in line before open to get something.

Planning on doing the Anniversary week in April which I imagine would have plenty of out of towners, along with the hype of each release. Could lead to some longer lines, but I appreciate the info!

That will be an interesting week for sure. The Veil posted even with releases every day they are expecting people who show up after 7 will experience very little lines and being able to leave with full allotment. Even expecting a lot of stuff to carry over from day to day. I'm skeptical but do think some things, but not all, will carry over.

"We are anticipating 180-220x cases of each brand of cans on Tuesday, 1-2k bottles on each bottle(other than Kentucky Reserve and magnums), and almost 500x cases of whiteferrari on Saturday."

We discussed it a couple pages back, but my opinion is that you still won't need to line up super early since there will be so many beers released over the course of a few days. I think that will have the effect of scattering the fanbase. Most out of towners and probably locals too are not going to be able to go every day and everyone will want different things and end up going different days. I'm sure some days will be more popular than others, but I don't see them releasing a single beer that everyone flocks to.

I guess I'm stating the obvious, but bottle counts and limits are the key to the anniv lines. The wild bottle yesterday sold out in a few hours when the last few sours have lasted several days (or longer) bc so few bottles at 3x pp.

I appreciate their sentiment, but even if they keep limits lower they have not done a great job from what I can tell of preventing people from going through the line multiple times. I think it's nice that they are trying to drop so many each day at low enough limits that they think they'll last that late but I'm still not a huge fan of the idea. I think @beernuts is right ^^ that not all line days will be crazy. I personally want Sleeping Forever cans (Tuesday), BB SF (Wednesday), AB SF (Thursday), and Vanilla SF (Saturday). That's not even all the SF variants and is to say nothing of any hops or funk bottles. I'm not making 4 trips that week. I'm only an hour away and even if some things carry over into the next day I'm pretty sure there's no way I can swing getting what I want without trading and calling in favors. We'll see I suppose.

I am definitely jealous of the folks taking a week off to do this because that week in RVA will be an absolute blast.

We are pleased to announce the Sleeping Forever variant to be released on Friday April 20th during our week long anniversary celebration.

    - Sleeping Forever aged in Frederiksdal barrels! Frederiksdal is an incredibly complex cherry wine from Denmark. We aged the 2017 vintage of Sleeping Forever in these amazing barrels for 14 months. The final product posses notes of deep, juicy cherries, baking spices, Pinot noir must, dark cocoa powder, molasses, maple candies, and oak tannins.
This variant will be available in 500ml bottles and *possibly* 1.5L magnums.
