I'm all for constructive criticism based in reality as well, but that's not what your criticism is. The faults you're finding with the brewery are ridiculousness, really, since the line issue can be solved by a single sign and complaining about free food and drink is ludicrous.

You stated: " I understand why the Tapped people cut ties. Id be pretty annyoed if my partner would rather give away parking lot meat than say to beer buyers "hey go grab some food from our rsetaurant RIGHT OVER there."

Uh, this entire point is moot, considering by the time Tapped opens the grill isn't even out there any more. EQ is grilling at like 10AM and 11AM. They're serving BREAKFAST meats for a reason. Tapped isn't open until noon, and they don't serve breakfast. By noon, there's barely a line for cans and certainly not a grill offering free food or any sort of commotion outside Tapped. I would know; I've never gone prior to noon and I've never seen the grill.

And you said this: "They have no taproom because they couldnt get along with their business partner."

That phrasing inarguably alleges that EQ was the one at fault for the partnership dissolving, when anyone who has been to Tapped can tell you that it due to quality control with their food, subpar service, and people traveling to EQ Grill/Tapped only to be disappointed in a handful of tap options, if any. It wasn't because EQ "couldnt get along" with someone -- it's because Tapped was not living up to standards and there was no reason for EQ to get mixed up in Tapped's deserved poor ratings and reputation.

Again, if you want to offer some actual criticism then go ahead, but it's clear you didn't even bother to proofread the criticisms you did provide. So far, your suggestions are to hire someone to help police the line, and not to give out free food. Got it!

No, you stand around lonely, intimidated and helpless. There is no way for you to figure out what's going on without an explicit sign. Be sad now.

Trying to think of ways this thread could be more brutal, but I'm blanking

Let's go back to talking about the beer, and at the same time let's also allow some constructive criticism. Equilibrium (like all breweries) does not run a perfect business - it's ok to acknowledge that.

For real I think EQ deserves criticism, they've had a lot of issues, I just think it's silly to keep shaming them for taking public $ because you're mad that some people cut in line. You don't have to be an EQ fanboy to have this perspective.

Wonder if they went out and got a local artist?

I remember back when that was a complaint in this thread.

Do you have to bring your own receptacle and silverware to consume said brisket?

Yeah that was me haha. I still stand by my statement. IIRC I was told one of their employees does the labels and photography.

Can we all at least agree that the beaker logo is cool?

I'm more concerned with the cleanliness of the linelife guys hands elected by the volunteers to dole out the brisket allotments. Which 12% rare whale stout pairs best with this brisket?

Reductio ad absurdum as an argument technique is totally valid, and I am of course completely unashamed I used it to undermine the post I quoted.

They apparently have a really good relationship with the PD. This came up when the line shares first started. As long as it stays within the designated area and people aren't getting out of line, the pd doesn't seem to mind.

So I'm actually going to be visiting my sister and brother-in-law in Fishkill this weekend. Thinking I'll probably swing by Equilibrium for the Vulgar Display of Flower can release. Apologies if there is already a place to ask what Saturday morning looks like at the brewery, but I'm curious what the general consensus is.

Just make sure you grab/ask for a ticket upon arrival, or all hell breaks loose on this forum

Golden rule - be there by 9am (although with no new beers or bottles it should be lighter this week), get a numbered deli style ticket which secures your place in line, bring beers and join the awesome line share in the designated share area (there is also tents, heaters, and free food - just make sure to tip the guys who do the food). With your ticket, you can also leave and come back if you chose to do that.
