    Wife arrives home Friday evening...

Wife: Hey honey, why are there 4 dozen eggs in the fridge? And all this bacon??

Line chef: Oh that's not for us, I'm cooking all of that for my friends in line tomorrow.

Wife: So you spent $100 to cook random people in line breakfast while they're all getting hammered?

Line chef: Don't worry babe, they give me good tips. And they're not random people, they're my friends, we're just tailgating, it's part of the community.

Wife: Isn't tailgating something you do before a big event? Your event is to walk up to the counter, spend hundreds on beer, and drive home, no?

The irony of being a big enough of a craft beer fan to post on a craft beer message board to rip other people for being way into craft beer. Lol keep em coming. This is super entertaining. I'm not into waiting in line for beer, but I can understand why people find the scene enjoyable.

Yeah, I don't really get the gatekeeping of some users on here. Tailgating the purchase of beer and tailgating sitting in the stands to cheer for a game you have no impact on isn't too dissimilar. They're both ways to make an experience centered around watching/ingesting more fun and social.

What I do wonder if how the bathroom situation is. Tapped absolutely does not let anyone use their bathrooms unless they buy at least a pint there (and they're not even open when the line is congregating), and there's no port-a-potty's outside. How do people get their business done when also drinking for several hours straight? LOL. Metlife has an abundance of port-a-potty's for a reason. Bladders of steel?

Great news, everyone, you've made a difference. EQ just posted a reminder to get a ticket on Instagram! I heard there might even be a sign. I'm in tears. THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!!!!

They allow use of their office bathroom. You might have to ask someone where it is (I would have to), so there are going to be some people left with no choice but to hold it.

It's probably 10% gatekeeping, 10% line bois, 30% people who don't care and just show up after the line is gone, and 50% people trying to get likes by making brisket jokes.

Oh no, I offended the IPA police! Of course I understand why people find the scene enjoyable, it's fun cameraderie with similar minded people, and they're getting hammered and eating brisket egg sandwiches at 8am!

I'm glad we're all agreeing tailgating a beer release is totally the same as tailgating a football game or literally any actual event.

Would the line attendant be the one to ask? And does use require a deli style ticket as well?

IPAPolice is the world’s number one Equilibrium line/brisket share fan and proponent of ticketing, and he’s never even been to said share - I love it! True commitment to the cause.

Do you have to ask the ticket guy where the bathroom is?
Or is the bathroom guy different than the ticket guy?
Most important, do you need to give the bathroom guy brisket to get use of the facilities?

    Not offended. It's hilarious.

Nailed it! God, this thread is gold

I told you, I'm an industry consultant. I get free brisket at all the breweries.

Are they releasing a new batch of cheeseburger flavor cheez its (you may laugh, it's a real thing)?
What if a restaurant had a limited burrito release, and people would line up to get it. And while in that line, people brought other burritos to eat while in line, a burrito share if you will. Someone might even bring a grill to make breakfast burritos. That's tailgating, right?

Nah, the ones who are too shy to ask where a bathroom is, or need a sign, can use the porta pot by the skateboard park. (I actually prefer that one) Folks can see it so they don't need to ask anyone. Though, judging by some of the comments, some folks might still find it a problem :stuck_out_tongue:

Since both of the IPAs this week have been released previously what is the chance that these last into the afternoon/early evening?

Pretty high. It's not too uncommon for stuff to last until Sunday.
