St Patricks Day is not a thing here, but hey, I'll go along with it, for the sake of beer! Cheers!

Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! Not much going on today as usual, supposed to be a bit of a milder day with clear skies. Need to make another beer run today, running out of stuff to review again.

Incredible as always. Flavors of juicy grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, passion fruit, berry, lemon/orange zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate caramel, toasted biscuit malt; and herbal, floral, grassy hops earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy bitterness. Very smooth finish with balanced hop stickiness and bready creaminess in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, never astringent. Has all the Mosaic and Citra hop flavors I love, with balanced bready malts to make it taste super juicy. Glad I decided to revisit this beer a while ago, a top favorite IPA for sure. Was not nearly as impressed the first time I had it.

To Øl 1 Ton Of...Blackcurrant. This was amazing! Lasting head retention and thick soapy lacing the whole glass. Opaque ruby red/purple color. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy black currants, fruit skin, cherry, berries, lemon, raisin, plum, green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, herbal, and grass; with moderate wheat, bread dough malts; light leathery/musty funk, pepper, and yeasty earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light yeast/fruit tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced creamy/bready wheat, lactic acid, fruit tang, and light tannins/stickiness in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing lactic/tangy fruit dryness, no pucker/astringency. Super drinkable, not overly lactic, 7%. Insanely jammy currants with balanced Brett/Lacto complexity; and a great bready malt backbone against acidity. Reminds me of Schramm's Black Agnes a lot. The currant presence is nearly the same level. Will grab again. This brewery never disappoints.

Still tasting fantastic. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with moderate honey, bready, light caramel malt sweetness; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied; with balanced creamy/slick malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin/rind dryness, no hop astringency. Not overly sweet or bitter either way, extremely well balanced. Lightly boozy alcohol, but dangerously easy drinking. Never disappoints.

4 year revisit. Glad they brought this back finally. This was fantastic! Amazing lasting head retention and thick soapy lacing the whole glass. Aromas and flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, wood smoke, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, nuttiness, and dark bread; with lighter notes of charcoal, licorice, raisin, plum, and herbal/peppery/piney hops. Light-moderate roast/char and herbal/piney/spicy bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body. Very creamy/silky malt mouthfeel; fair amount of sticky hops, chalky roast, and oak tannins. Lightly increasing lingering hop/char bitter dryness, no acrid/astringency. Mildly increasing warmth of 12.5%, zero barrel booze. Dangerously smooth sipper. Just as outstanding as I remember in 2013. Perfect balance of smoked stout and bourbon barrels; while still retaining a nice amount of hop character from the RIS aspect of the base beer. Extremely impressive. 4.23

My first Flanders Red Ale, brewed with smoked malt and orange peel, which is surprisingly good. Very nice balance of smokiness, fruitiness (red berries, citrus) sweetness and sourness, with a slightly funky, musty, earthy, herbaceous note reminiscent of rosemary and cedar wood. Maybe this is what some people refer to as "horse blanket"? Has a certain red wine character to it.

A 10 % Barley wine aged on French oak, this is Baronen French Oak by Hantverksbryggeriet in Västerås (Westeros maybe?). Listening to some classic stuff...

Good morning everyone. New Beer Sunday is coming so I thought I would try my pairing. Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout with my Lamb Stew with Rosemary and Sage. Maybe some potatoes. This beer will go where you could also put red wine as a pairing. The style is one of my favorites.

Watched way too much bball yesterday; I may try to narrow it down to a game or two. Until tip-off, coffee time:

First I’ve had of this year’s batch (12/4/17) and it tastes great. Lots of roast coffee, light feeling and super easy drinking for 9%. Glad I grabbed a 4/pk while a couple were still on the shelve. Cheers and Happy St. Patty’s Day!

Alright, alright alright, BA... I started sensibly with a session IPA... since then I've had a 10 % barley wine, an 8,5 % Double IPA, and now this 10 % triple IPA by Northern Monk. It's just after 3 PM. This will not end well for me. Remember me fondly.
