After their tour bus caught fire and exploded on the side of the road for the 17th time (dragons, duh) they announced they were getting out of the t-shirt game. Sadly the DA-branded Ove Gloves and pot holders are just not raking in the cash.

 

Sorry to bum you guys out....Dragon Abortion cancelled after their bus accident last night in West Virginia. New headliner is Septic Sorority Annihilation.

Also, as the PR rep for DA I can confirm that they have been dead for 1,457 years. They weren’t killer in a recent tour bus crash. The original dragon abortion ritual granted them resurrection and immortality.

Pure speculation on my part, but I am wondering if the lack of barrel-aged releases over the past year has been due to Three Floyds preparing for a massive Dark Lord Day barrel release. Based on my crude estimates over the past year Three Floyds should have released at least 10,000 bottles of barrel aged beer (Moloko, Behemoth, etc…) and as of yet, we have had nothing. With the massive expansion forthcoming (after Dark Lord Day we are told), Three Floyds would probably love to have a significant infusion of money. What better way to do so then by releasing a massive amount of Barrel-Aged Dark Lord at $50 per bottle (yes I know in recent years the bottles have been inclusive). I mean come on, Barrel-Aged Dark Lord is like a license to print money, and they could quickly sell 20K+ bottles on DL Day. My guess is there will be a few tiers of tickets this year: 4 DL & 1BADL ($225) and 4DL & 2+ BADL for ($300-$400). This would also explain the late notice on tickets as they are probably still sorting through all the barrels and determining yields for ticket sales. Again all wild ass guessing on my part…
