Did anyone pick up on Poppa being 12% now from 16 before? i'm sure it will still be amazing, but i wonder why the change

Edit: nevermind, i think the first batch was 12 too maybe

I just arrived (7:30 AM) and I’m just past the entrance to the Wynwood arcade by the Salty Donut. This is my first JWB release and all, but this line seems long.

Apparently 300-400. But don't take it to heart

How's it look? Is it worth driving down from ft. Lauderdale to take advantage of the tap list?

After having let my tape rock, all eyez on me and big poppa on draft...as much as I wanted to love stoutmore I just didn’t get there. Hearing it’s better out the bottle, will open one soon. All eyez on me was a major sleeper today, b3 big poppa is as good as I remember b1 being.

B3 Big Poppa is as good or better than Batch 1. Was my fav draft of the day.

Have to check if All Eyes on Me is still on... I only got to try it but didn't get a full pour to really let it warm up. I ran through 1x Desperado, 1x Big Poppa, 1x Dipped in Sauce, 1x Cuvee de Wakefield in the course of an hour or so before finally getting in line. Tried Stoutmore as well and it didn't trigger the "MUST HAVE MOAR" reaction I've had with BP and the like, but again I didn't really do it justice. May go tomorrow to run through whatever is left at the bar.

Missed trying Tape Rock which is apparently this year's Label Us / It Was All A Dream :slight_frown:

I thought mount stoutmore was pretty bad and even worse when considering the price. Big poppa was better than last year but still not quite b1 and all eyes was nice.

Tried Stoutmore on tap...it's kinda of a mess...very bitter coffee taste...had a little burning sensation in my throat...maybe it's better out of the bottle...but it's nuts to have a 35$ non BA bottle...last night they still had lots in the fridge at the tap room...Poppa on the other hand is a fantastic batch...

Poppa was pretty great. I thought stoutmore was not good at all, I also had it after drinking tape rock so I assumed it was just because I had something amazing first lol.

Poppa was amazing to me this time

Had a pour of Stoutmore from a magnum brought out before opening and quite enjoyed it. Draft wasn’t very good and tasted different than the bottle I had. This Poppa batch is delicious.

I had a pour from the magnum as well... very underwhelming considering the price.

Hey folks. Looking for someone who can help me. I received a bottle of Big Poppa in a trade and the question is how do you know which batch it is. I was supposed to receive b3. There appears to (possibly) be a Julian date at the top and I believe it reads 242 17. Which would be Oct 2017. This was after the b2 release but would they have bottles b3 that early? Thanks for any help with this question. Cheers guys and gals.

    Really simple way to tell:

B2 had a yellow colored backdrop on the label.

If your label is white, you have either B3 or B1.

There is little to no chance they had B3 bottled all the way back in October so I don't think then numbers you found represent the bottled date.

Also glad to see I wasn't the only one finding this batch so good. Wish I kept my B1s for a vertical.
