While anything is possible, my guess is even in their wildest expectations they would not have any whiskey barrels available for this year's batch of BADL, as the barrels would have had to been ready 9-12 months ago and based on the distillery timeline I don’t think this jives. Moreover, I believe I heard they wanted to do a Dark Lord Barrel Aged spirit (whiskey made from spent Dark Lord barrels aka third use barrels). Therefore, it would make sense to stockpile tons of used DL barrels which would play well with my theory of a big barrel-aged DL release this year. Please note, I am almost finished drinking a Permanent Funeral bomber by my self so I may be rambling.

Alternative theory:
Or they could have had major infection issues and are scrambling for ways to deal with the ensuing belly aching over no/limited variants when they make the ticket sale announcement.

 

I understand FFF had input from Cycle on proper barrel aging technique this year.

2. Variants are a mess
3. Base Dark Lord is infected
4. Actually trying to get things right
5. FFF (3F) burned down
6. E-Tix wants more money
7. Can’t decide if GA tix should return
8. Deciding if group F should be added
9. Food vouchers return
10. Guest taps include InBev

Dark Lord spirit was supposedly aiming to be in the Utopias niche. Curious if they'll tie it's release into DLD or the Distillery's official opening perhaps

 

Not putting any faith in those rumors, but IF they did stop the bottle share I would definitely be one of the 1-2k people saying "Aidios!" to DLD. C'mon, the bottle share is the best part!

Man, I can’t make out what group I’m in, but the guy huffing paint and muttering about the Dark Lord at midnight in an abandoned lot (future brewery site, I assume) last night seemed legit, so I gave him $200 and he handed me some paper, said something else about “a Cid,” who must be a nice fellow, and said it was my ticket to a good time. I’m stoked!

Good news guys. They decided to just make Handjee instead of regular or any other variants, everyone gets 4 bottles with their ticket.

Unfortunately vanilla is infected this year so DLD is cancelled.

 

I heard they weren't having vanilla because a worker accidentally dipped the bottles in some of the plastic explosives Nick keeps in the warehouse rather than the pink bottle wax....

 

How I thought the brewery burned down... or did it blow up
