I had one last night. Tasted pretty much like the old recipe which means it's delicious. I'll try to pick up a 2nd sixer to put some away.

$16.99 a sixer out here. It was next to the Enjoy By 4/20 edition priced the same.

I thought it was just as good as their classic IRS. Wish I could get a sixer of it though, I've only seen bombers.

We only have sixers here, but I'm hoping to cut a single from the herd since I don't usually try new beers by buying a four/six. Bombers are the worst option due to price per ounce, particularly if you can't find 12oz singles.

Is 'Russian Bare-chested-dictator Stout' RBS going too far? I guess I'll find out soon enough! I understand that Greg has to be PC, but do I?

Looking forward to grabbing some Totalitarian. With Bells starting distro. here soon, Expedition and Totalitarian will ease the pain of my beloved Founders and Smuttynose Imperial Stout not being avail. these days.

Two recent beer releases have actually made me giddy: This and Ballast Point Aloha Sculpin. Too bad due to college buddies coming over my fridge is filled to the brim with Stone Light

I picked up a 6 pk last Saturday in MO. Ran me $16.99. It's roasty and rich like Old Rasputin, with a touch of the umami and a slightly bitter back end from the hops. It doesn't drink super big or hot, but I plan on letting my other 5 sit for a bit. I think that will allow other flavors to develop, as it's all roasted malt/burnt sugar now.

Oh, don't be silly, it's aged in port barrels with cardamom.

On second thought, I think it tastes about 76.7% like the old Stone IRS.

Stone understands how moving product and ticker culture can work together. Like ripples in a pond, people don’t have to be “tickers” to have their purchasing habits impacted by ticker culture. Stone got two threads on Beeradvocate due to this move rather than zero.

Personally, I enjoyed the "Russian Imperial stout" over the Totalitarian

At $16.99/6 pack the price point per ounce on this beer has gone down considerably from the last release in bombers. In 2016, I paid $106 for a case of 12 bombers. Do the math and compared to the bomber format, this is almost half the price. Bargain as far as I'm concerned. Great beer.
