    1st official DLD announcement will be Sunday April 1st on Easter and it will be FFF telling us DLD is canceled.

    I mean for fucks sake the joke here is obvious. On Good Friday they will announce that Dark Lord Day is cancelled then on Sunday they will announce its back from the dead.

    I and my significant other got variants (FVM and Ronaldo) last year. If you received an Oscuro variant last year, would you have rather received the vintage bottles? And, conversely, if you received vintage bottles and could have received an Oscuro instead, would you have rather have had that than the vintages? Seems to me, I would always want the variant.

    The variant, totally. Especially since the Oscuro trade value was through the roof early on. Islay barrels have ruined every beer with that treatment I've ever had the displeasure of trying, but obtaining 3 ultra rare bottles for one hot mess is always an easy YES.

    I know a dude who’s friends with a brewer there, and he said that indeed, a lot of Dark Lord variants were infected, and they’re scrambling to replace them, and they’re doing DL themed/related beers. I got a sneaked sample of Dark Lordy Lordy Look Who’s 40- Spent Dark Lord barrel aged Region Riot with grape nuts and psyllium husk. Shit’s super smooth.

    I guess if no one wants post #1000 I'll take it. So what do I win?

    A Dark Lord brisket sandwich served on muscat-aged rye bread with guajillo-cardamom aioli! Yum! I'll post my review on Sandwich Advocate later today.
