But no having to worry about drinking too much is far more important IMO. I see people just leaving 4 oz because they just wanted to tick and not get drunk, and I applaud that behavior. I would happily do it if they offered it.

Easier said than done. Most days I'm with friends, some days I roll solo. If your solo that isn't an option.

You doin' okay, man? The last 5 posts you've done have been nothing but shitting on stuff without being constructive. Maybe have a beer and then a nap.

Thank you sir, that was the same question I posed last night while getting pog juice & the david bowie, not that i didn't enjoy the 6 oz pours that's for sure but the importance of drinking responsibly is also a must. If tasters were available, I would have more than likely had more pours of the initial paisley cave i got when I arrived yesterday.

So that's their excuse when they now have the $$$ to purchase machines to do it simultaneously? What a petty excuse to clean that's for sure.

You are getting too into this. It more than cleaning I assume. Filling tasters requires more fills throughout the day which creates larger lines. BL probably doesn't have enough tasters to accommodate a group of people this large. People are more prone to steal things in large settings and tasters conveniently fit into pockets. Someone has to walk around and clean up all the tasters which requires more effort tending to empties than pouring beers. I mean... there are probably many more reasons. Better reason to pick the select few you want as opposed to trying everything. If thats an issue, Terreux will offer tasters all week long.

EXACTLY ... biggest storm of the season they say ... wonder if it's feasible to bring it indoors at this point.

Im just saying that ground state was a great COFFEE beer. A choco bomb is just clearly wrong and gives the wrong impression to people.

And ill shit on things that need to be shit on. I tell it like it is. If people or breweries need to coddled, then maybe they should stop making, and drinking beer. Or at least only drink tasters. I know 6oz can be overwhelming. Lol.

I went solo, and I got little of everything, from maple, to coffee, to cacao. Nothing really felt over powering, though I'd prefer more coffee. But, I might be wrong, because everyone says there's a metric butt-load of it.

Maybe my palate is just completely stupid.

I got nothing but coffee with Ground State. It tasted the same it always tasted to me.

Just wanted to say I tried this tonight and it was absolutely amazing. Great recommendation. Now I want to blend everything from this week.

Also I got lots of coffee from GS, at least to me more prominent than the chocolate.

Questions for anyone who was at WOL the first day:

1.) How long from the time BL opened until you were in with a pour in hand?
2.) How long was the line (geographically) at open?
3.) Where were you in line?
4.) What time did you get to BL?

I've got a jam packed Saturday and need to plan accordingly. Thanks in advance.

To be honest with you, this Saturday will probably be utterly jam packed throughout most of the day until later in the evening.

You have FO 17, FO 18 preview, and “FO Reseve” all on tap, which are the most sought after beers BL makes. The FOMO is incredibly strong with those beers, so people will be lining up extremely early (one friend is going around 6 am). IIRC the last two years with FO Saturday the line was well down the block, as in you could stand by the storage place anlook down the block without being able to see the end of it.

That being said, FO lasted into the evening both years, and BL has said that all beers should be available throughout the entire day throughout WoL. So, there’s REALLY no reason to line up for several hours before they open, unless you’ve got a thing for lines or always need to be the first to try everything. If you’re busy Saturday and need a quick in, grab a beer, and go, then I’d wait until the evening.

I fear Saturday will be the busiest day by far due to FO as well. But lines haven't been crazy for Sunday and Saturday at all, so I wouldn't stress. It'd probably be like 20-30 minutes for lines for the Stasis and Experimental stuff though.

Also, regarding Ground State. I guess my palate wasn't up to snuff at the time. :|
