Grindhouse is a (bad ass) coffee place but they have delicious sammiches too.

Nah the event isn't actually run solely by Mike, I think Steve from Slapshot actually started it. He brews at Hailstorm now IIRC and Mike said he would not run the event solo.

72oz isn't too bad I guess. Something like 96 sounds about right but that's only because I really like to share. This will also possibly cause to make different trading arrangements. Not a big deal I guess.

Don’t get me wrong Grindhouse is solid but one time when I was there they were struggling to keep up with a “rush” of 10 customers. They are a small operation, not sure if they are equipped to deal with a festival of 10,000+ people. I do like the fact that they are supporting a small business, just hope they know what they are getting themselves into.

I think he was at Brickstone for a bit and now Hailstorm.

For me, it will depend on what the breweries bring for their guest drafts, plenty of very good breweries; however, if they bring more of their “pedestrian” offerings it would be lame given the bottle share limit.

I'd assume the 72 oz limit has to do with trying to keep the empty bottle graveyard to a minimum. The massive share is great (and let's get real, it's still going to be a massive share), but the place always gets absolutely trashed.

We're going to get our De Muerte on tap consistently through the whole event and we're going to like it.

So basically the more money you spend on your RFID wrist band the better variant you get since this is all one big data collection point now. They scan your RFID bracelet at bottle pickup "Hhmm, it looks like you haven't spent any money on food or beer today. Here is you random beer pick-up....oh, vintage DLs! I didn't know we were giving those away this year."

    Possible *common* beer limit options:

    12oz (normal can/bottle)

16oz (tall or pint size can/bottle)

    22oz (common bomber)

25.4oz (750ml bottle or bigger bomber)

    72oz could =

    6 - 12oz (normal can/bottle) = *72oz total*

    2 - 22oz (bomber) bottles + 1 – 16oz (pint bottle/tall can) + 1 – 12oz (normal can/bottle) = *72oz total*

    3 - 22oz (bomber) = *66oz total* with 6oz to spare. (your taster overflowing)

    2 22oz (bomber) bottles + 2 - 12oz (normal can/bottle) = *68oz total* with 4oz to spare. (your taster full)

    1 – 22oz (bomber) bottle + 4 – 12oz (normal can/bottle) = *70oz total* with 2oz to spare. (a splash in your taster)

    1 – 22oz (bomber) bottle + 3 - 16oz (pint bottle/tall can) = *70oz total* with 2oz to spare. (a splash in your taster)

    1 – 750ml (25.4oz) bottle + 2 - 22oz (bomber) = *69.4oz total* with 2.6oz to spare. (a splash in your taster)

    2 750ml (25.4oz) bottle + 1 - 16oz (pint bottle/tall can) = *66.8oz total* with 5.2oz to spare. (your taster brimmed)

    1 – 22oz (bomber) bottle + 1 – 750ml (25.4 oz) bottle + 2 – 12oz (normal can/ bottle) = *71.4oz total* with .6oz to spare (a splash in your taster)

    1 – 750ml (25.4 oz) bottle + 2 - 16oz (pint bottle/tall can + 1 – 12oz (normal can/bottle) = *69.4oz* with 2.6 oz to spare. (a splash in your taster)

    1 – 750ml (25.4oz) bottle + 2 – 22oz (bomber) = *69.4oz* with 2.6oz to spare (a splash in your taster)

    A little over 72oz:

    1 – 22oz (bomber) bottle + 2750ml (25.4oz) bottles = *72.8oz total* over the limit by .8oz. (a splash in your taster)

    1 – 750ml (25.4oz) bottle + 4 – 12oz (normal/bottle) = *73.4oz total over the limit by 2.4oz (half of your taster)

There are other combinations but you know what, I don’t want to do this anymore so pick one of these or figure it out with the help of this.

Also. It’s 72oz inside the festival.

I’m figuring you could probably easily get 4 bottles in (88 ounces), plus whatever the hell you share in line in the morning.

This really makes you appreciate what the OG mules went through.
