Really interesting and unusual flavor profile. Expect it will generate a lot of divergent opinions – some will love it, some will hate it.

Agreed. In terms of analogs to other OH IPAs with atypical fruit additions, I'm hoping for City Slickers but preparing myself for Grape Conversate (and not making the mistake of buying two 4-packs before trying it because, hey, concord grapes are delicious!).

Strawberries seem like a really tough fruit to work with. Berries are not as intense or obviously complementary to typical hop flavors as, say, citrus or tropical fruits. But anyone who has tried Hudson Valley's Amorphia knows what's possible....

Any chance of any cans being available still next week Wednesday?

I reckon there’s a chance something may be around then. I wouldn’t plan a special trip round it though

I'll be in from out of town and was planning to go by then regardless. Just seeing what my odds for cans to go may be.

Had this one on tap last week and thought it was great. Sampled about 8-10 on the menu, and this was the best of the bunch.

Hard to say, really just depends on the demand for the release this weekend (which is hard to predict). Follow their IG over the weekend to gauge demand, and you'll have a better idea.

FWIW, I went on Tuesday last week and they didn't have any cans, just a handful of bottles.

Cracked open Berries for the snow day and while its a little sweet, its really good. After letting it come closer to room temperature, its super berry forward, almost doesn't taste like a stout which is crazy.

I envy you sir, after three or four of those IPA's I can't taste a damn thing, or all the beers taste the same which just kind of defeats the purpose IMO.

Per Other Half's instagram story, looks like they will be brewing something with toasted marshmallows.

These were 4-oz pours over two days, haha. Neither wallet nor liver could support that rate daily in 16-oz.

Otherwise, agreed entirely -- at some point of consumption Other Half and generic mass market beer are indistinguishable to the palette.

I just polished off a 32oz growler of DDH ACE. I now consider that OH’s best beer. AMA. #itstruethough

Anyone know if they will fill the 32oz trillium growlers or have tried? Opening is slightly smaller than the standard, maybe just over 1". Apologies for the super specific question.

I don't think so. Their counter pressure system was built to accommodate only a single type of container opening. That said, while I was originally bothered by the stringency of their requirements, I've come to appreciate it. OH growlers hold up better than those of any other brewery at which I've picked up a fill... Have never noticed an oxidation issue up to 3 weeks post-fill. Very worth the extra few bucks to pick up a proper growler onsite, especially since they're returnable!

First post has the specific requirements of the growler opening required.

Read it and the site, was asking people with experience if they accommodate minute differences (not asking about a flip top).

    Exactly,

"This requires that all 32oz and 64oz growlers have a 1.125” standard threaded opening."

Even had a picture too.

Basically has to be one of the two standard screw-on growler glass sizes shown. Without the standard opening, there is no way that it can be attached properly to make an effective seal which is required to operate a counter-pressure system.

There is a chance that your Trillium growler is standard size if you said the opening is a little bit bigger than one inch.

Welcome to the other half thread @Mike3013 ! I see you’ve been treated well so far....

I agree with @avas that it’s unlikely they’ll fill what you have, so you’ll probably have to invest in an OH growler

Anyone tried the Light Therapy bottles and have thoughts to share? Getting mine on Monday and am curious.
