I did not. Overdid it a bit at Moksa today, so I only had the one beer. Going back to Fieldwork tomorrow to get more

I opened a can of Coffee & Milk IPA last night from the late February can release and it has fallen off big time, IMO.

So... drink now if you've still got any left.

Stopped at Beer Revolution to get some cans and saw Dancing in the Dank on tap so had to get a pour. Oh man that was good. Pretty much what I want in an IPA. Regretting my two week layoff from beer even more as it prevented me from getting the cans. But the main reason being I thought I'd lose weight by not drinking for a couple weeks... Nope!

Any rumors on which day for Bel Biv Dorado?

Chaos Emeralds was on the main IG feed for a few days, just announced for Saturday and I’m guessing there are more beers coming…looks like another fun weekend.

(Also, if anyone finds the release posts annoying, let me know. I started because they stopped me from missing stuff.)

I went the last two years. This year they're doing something different with the VIP thing, and the prices have jumped up even on the regular tix.

It's not purely a beer festival (some wine pourers, ciders and meads), but I really liked it because it was super chill. There wasn't anything "special" being poured - you won't find barrel aged anything, but each participating brewer usually had two taps. Most are local breweries, including some newer ones I wasn't aware of.

    Here's what I remember from 2017:

Fieldwork - Had Fetch pale and Grove Stand DIPA
Firestone Walker - Latest Luponic Distortion (Rev 006), Easy Jack
Calicraft - Cali Coast and something else
Gilman - I had some saison
Faction - a pale and IPA
    Novel - some hazy IPA
Sierra Nevada - Tropical Torpedo, Sidecar
    Hop Valley - Citrus Mistress
    Lagunitas - LAG

There were a bunch of others but my memory fails me

According to their newsletter, they will be releasing Raspberry Parfait (kettle raspberry sour with vanilla and lactose) cans along with Chaos Emeralds and Bel Biv Dorado tomorrow.

They also teased some beers for their next release in a couple of weeks. One can is for their third anniversary and is a blend of BA and non-BA beers. It's called Tres Commas - can't wait to see the list of beers they use. The second, which I'm pretty stoked for, is an IPA collab with Strange Brewing out of Buenos Aires. They are calling the beer SuperClásico, named after a derby between two of Argentina's greatest soccer clubs (Dale Boca). As a person of Argentinian descent, its cool to see Fieldwork collab with them. Aside from Quilmes, there isn't any other beer coming out of Argentina.

Raspberry Parfait was well made....damn good kettle sour if I may say so. Bel Biv Dorado is unique, juicy with an aroma that reminds me of cantaloupes and pineapple...smooth finish.

Chaos Emeralds is just as good as the last batch....Im prett sure these will all sell out today

Raspberry Parfait was just amazing, I'm a little embarrassed by how much I enjoy this beer. Chaos was terrific but Dorado wasn't really my favorite.

Looking forward to the releases this week.

I agree! I didn't think I was going to like Raspberry Parfait as much as I do - glad I've got some cans. In the description of Raspberry Parfait on the Fieldwork website, it sounds like this was first in a line of beers they plan to release. I'm excited to see what other fruits they use.

Does anyone else get this crazy herbal, tea-like taste from Eldorado hopped beers? It is pretty offputting to me, and I have noticed this some Eldorado hopped beers from Fieldwork. I've experienced it with Bel Bivdardo, Badlands, and Painted Gold.

reading off the can it looks like
    30% ba imp porter
    30% ba imp brown
    15% ba belgian strong dark
    15% russian imperial stout
    7% imperial red ale
    3% english brown

sounds like a cool mix to me! 75% ba, 25% fresh, high abv too 12.3%

Going to be visiting SF April 3-9 and hoping to try some Fieldwork beers. Do they distribute at all? Going to have a car 1 day to head out to Sonoma so may be able to hit it on the way back but not the easiest to hit while in the city.

Any other breweries doing NEIPAs well I should look at? Thanks in advance

Fieldwork doesn't distribute cans, but you can find them on draft at many beer bars. Make sure you head out to Beercraft in Novato or Rohnert Park for an awesome selection of draft and bottles/cans.

If you're willing to make a very long trip, Moonraker out in Auburn also makes excellent NEIPAs.

Fieldwork cans are available from other retailers so rarely as to effectively be 'never', but they do take preorders for crowlers online to pick up at one of their taprooms.

Fieldworks has a spot in Napa, too. Go there if you'll already be in Sonoma.

Looks like Fieldwork is releasing a triple IPA version of Galaxy Juice, Destroyer of Galaxies. Cans will drop on Sunday along with another new IPA, Always Blue.
