Maine Dinner Release

With Lunch, I'm guessing they pretty much sell what they make, so assuming they can't produce more of it, they are likely basing their business model and pricing on what the market will pay for the amount they produce. The downside of this model is that it pisses people off when: 1) Other comparable or better products cost less and 2) They are fucking smug about it or have a corporate message that is just baseless or, at best, lacking in objectivity and market understanding.

At least a few of the shops near me in metro west won't even bother to stock MBC. It just sits there with an empty gap for Lunch. All that said, they are a long way from going out of business unless they lever the piss out of the business in an expansion. Even then, they could pin their tail between their legs and produce the beer in cans and potentially make a comeback.

 

They had leftover bottles at the past 2 ticketed sales. I was there at 1pm (not last, one before) and still had cases.

 

Currently at The Merchant:

Lunch, $10, 12 oz
Peeper, $10, 16 oz
Boom Sauce, $9, oz

Hard pass on all three.

 

$10 for Peeper? My heart.... I can't....

 

$11.00 for 16 oz Zoe at Brew city in Worcester....

 

Peeper 16oz: $5.00, Happy Hour Price at a place near me. (When they have it)

 

Peeper 16 oz in Salem NH (place has ultra skinny margins on everything) : $7 & can’t do Happy Hour on it,says sixtel price is obnoxious. He only gets it to be able to order the rare Lunch or Another One keg .

 

Think a pinner runs about $175 on the low end.

 

Yep. Also, this is their first "big batch" of it (on the new system). I would expect extras..

I'm curious to hear how long it sticks around after the pickup window. Not having to play the game buying online tickets anymore would be a good thing

You could always go grab a picnic bench at Fort Williams park and get a lobster roll from the Bite Into Maine food truck. Should be a beautiful day to sit by the water if you don't mind the wind.

Damn man, go to Highroller and ask for a lobby roll to go. Take it and your bottles down to the docks, or on the East Prom hillside

 

I didn't go to the release. Just was clarifying that rightcoast7's suggestion was inaccurate so that guy didn't make trip to Cape Elizabeth for nothing.
