I’ve been contemplating an all Huell Melon Pale Ale (5%ish) for a long time now but have heard many experiences like yours. Could see it either being really underwhelming or a game changer.

My suggestion would be using Huell to compliment Citra, to round it out a bit.

If you want to stick with just Huell Melon, I would consider using a very light/neutral yeast and ferment it on the low end of the temperature spectrum.

or lager. From what I hear, even hopping at ridiculous oz per gallon rates, it will not "pop" like the normal el dorado, citra, amarillo, mosaic, galaxy, etc.

I'm hoping that some combination of Mylar/DCDD/DIG lasts the line, haven't had Mylar in a while and I'm looking to get my 'tose dose since I'm all out of lactose beers.

It still depends on batch size and turnout, they're dropping 7 cans tomorrow between the mobile can sale and normal release. My guess is the collab is a double batch, DCDD is a double batch split between both releases and then maybe one of the other three BK releases is a double but not for certain.

I thought the mobile can release was next Saturday?

Ah you're right, I somehow thought it was this week cause Socks showed up in the keg email last week. I'm guessing my prediction still holds true expect there is maybe a better chance that we get 3 double batches?

I mean they could still be canning them this week for next week so your guess may still be good. I am wondering the same things though, like does 5 cans mean less double batches or do they just have so much more brewing capabilities that 5 cans wont mess that up.

According to their latest Instagram post, they just tapped the Panna e Fragole. If anyone tries to today please report back!

Surprisingly they still have 30 cases of Shred Stick left.

There's been a random growler of ACE sitting in my office fridge for about 6 weeks now, and it kills my soul every time I open the door.

Why? Someone explain this to me please.

I assume by '"office" you mean your place of business (not home office) and that the growler's not yours.

lol, correct. I can see how that wasn't clear.

If there was a growler of ACE sitting in my fridge I would have zero qualms with it.

The strawberry beer is considerably more mellow than I was expecting. If I wasn't told strawberries were added, I might think it's just a very berry forward hop combination ala higher burnin, idaho 007, or some others.

Time to send out a company-wide email about a mandatory fridge cleaning. If the growler is still there the next day it's yours.

Maybe send something out saying that alcohol in the office is against company policy and a fire-able offense. Then “confiscate” the growler.

Yes you’ll be called popo or five oh for the rest of your employment. But it’ll be worth it - you’ll be the real winner in this story

It's a, "Drinks like a typical OH beer. If you like strawberries and other half beer but are intimidated after Florida Plates, you're in luck, this is for you. If you don't like strawberries, just get mylar tomorrow. If you're looking for a milkshake or something more akin to what Hudson Valley is doing, this is not it" beer.

Anything to drown my sorrows from this Ipsos poll killing my futures on Trump's net approval rating on 538 next week. He just kept the government open, c'mon people polled!
